Weather Check

We were fortunate that it didn’t get as cold as some forecasts called for last night. 
 

In celsius.  

Tomorrow will probably be the coldest day of the year 

Weather.com is calling for a high of 72F today and 79F on Christmas here in SoCal. You east coast guys, take care. I hear it's cold AF this week!

 Real Montana winter this year. Got 70 inches of snow already also. 

There's only one barb wire fence between the North Pole and Amarillo...and it's down.  Man it's cold out there.

But you have to live in Commiefornia.  So it all evens out.    

Still 55 here Karl, but thats about to change fast.    I was out the door at 5:30 this morning and took me about 6 hours but got all my stuff prepped.  Barns, shop, two pump houses, cattle stuff and of course the house/garage. Got more heat lamps going than a Lubys right now.

Well, if by "evens out," you mean I pay more taxes, have little to no say in my child's education, and have to throw my trash into the correct one of five containers or I'll get cancelled, then yes, it's even.

Lawn ornaments, chairs, bird feeders, etc. all over the place.

But on the bright side, the big ass red oak won't be keeping it's leaves until spring. 

Yup. Played golf yesterday in shorts.

No wonder little shit box houses here cost 900 grand.

There’s a company that makes a product called “get teactin” could help with the handle on that axe. Their main claim is they help you “get teactin like a man” 😂 in all seriousness hope you are safe brother, this cold ain’t a joke although my post is! 

-29 at a town hall where I delivered in Wi. Upper Midwest is the nut chilling weather. The wind goes rt threw a thick tight knit hat and burns the back of your head. You always try to limit your face in the wind. Burns too much . I could almost fly a kite in the cab when I,m parked. So much air blowing in and loud . Louder than my pals old 65 nova drag car . My rt ear was ringing real bad for a day now it’s less. Been wearing my high tech cross country skiing long johns for 5 weeks still freezing. But I ski in -30 and sweat. It’s so bad by far the worst and most dangerous trk I ever drove. Honestly I would rather drive my neighbors 1928 trk as a kid . A 74 Mack would b a dream.  Extremely physical 200 sit-ups with a 10 sec break total of 2,000 isn’t nothing

-9 degrees here in North Dallas. About as cold as I’ve ever felt.

 Went from nothing to this in a little under an hour . Pretty damn windy here and increasing . Calling for 70 mph winds today which for western NY is a damn hurricane. I've heard a few of the neighbors trash cans go for a ride already. Got the generator filled and 20 gallons of fuel on stand by . Multiple phone chargers on full charge . I'm anticipating the lose of power from this one. Calling for 2 to 3 feet of snow an addition to high winds ,10 to 20 below wind chills.

I went from top of a mtn in NH to Chicago land. On 21st in Ny the radio said 3 day storm all flights cancelled,etc. in the boonies in Wi. Delivery to a town hall. -39 with wind chill lastnight. Waiting for temps to come up still windy as hell. I,ll get blow off the rd not snowing but blizzard conditions. With trk running it’s freezing 3/4 gal full piss jug froze solid next to me on the floor, Powerade water bottles. My legs and feet r cramped real bad . Extreme cold dehydrates ya worse then extreme heat. Unthawning water mixing xtend powder muscle recovery, electrolyte with liquid magnesium liquid added. I drink a gal of that everyday. Plus liquid iv, and 12 diff vitamins. 2 day out my biceps hurt more than breaking my humorous. 7 days a week no day off since 11-6.  Yeah it’s Brutal. Making pretty much nothing too

Microwave the power aide bottles of water. It’s totally inhumane conditions. N of Milwaukee is was much worse than Chicago. It’s all about timing the storms rt . Us10 was worse every ovr pass was super slick. 73-74 mph governed trk would only go 54 in the wind. I put my hazards on every ovr pass to warn the traffic following me. At times speeds where 32 because your sliding. 4 ln and nobody passed it’s all about getting there alive. New pu pulling a 4 place enclosed trl of sleds lost it on a ovr pass jack knifed hard into the deep snow in the ditch. Close to what buffalo has on the ground for snow. I researched the winter and it’s supposed to b a real bad 1 in the upper Midwest. The east is supposed to get big storms. Good winter to get surgeries done. Pic lastnight it stopped snowing the wind makes snow drifts in 30 min. 

They closed all the major roads around here , my work closed the plant yesterday for today's shifts . Both the major supermarkets have closed and sent workers home . We're pretty stocked up on the essentials . I just built the kids a pillow mountain in the middle of the living room to get some energy out of their system LoL.

 My inlaws live on the Erie canal,the high winds are pushing a bunch of water up the canal. That black flower pot is sitting on the neighbors dock that is usually 18ish inches above water.

Panic time -40 and the trk shuts off every 111 seconds. It wants a regen since 08 all trks hv a manual regen button and a procedure . I asked our maintenance day 1 about this, no answer. I called all our maintenance #,s no answer vmb all full. A guy in Lithuania answered on a diff #. He sent a link threw a app. Sensors on parliament filter r not working. It states 20%. So I tried numerous times. Finally it started to regen. Hope it works or I,ll b here see pic for days since most trks r broke down from the -40. DO NOT be stupid and go out to get food etc. you should b prepared for emergency winter conditions. New vehicles especially the last few yrs of chev trks just stop running driving down the rd. You freeze to death pretty quick.
