I was hoping for something cool here....
Hour and 45 minutes in and it's been nothing but a talking in circles word salad.
Is he going to say something of substance or can I save my time with the last hour?
I would say to save the time, but I'm sure that there are those that found it enlightening........
Nothing really unique about a politician not answering a question.
Rogan "What was it like when you got elected and were sworn in as President of the United States."
Trump "The White House is so beautiful, I couldn't wait to see the Lincoln bedroom. He was really tall. You know back then most people were shorter."
As far as reading Trump text goes, that's actually pretty darn good. It's usually a chaotic ping-pong of half-finished sentences across fifteen topics, but that quote only has one ping. You didn't even include the part about wanting to be a whale psychiatrist and how environmentalists apparently don't talk about beached whales.

So many off the wall comments and random "statistics" I actually wish I hadn't been driving so I coulda wrote a few down.
When Kamala or Trump are the 2 best options we have....America is a dumpster fire.
I wonder if he thinks the Lincoln bedroom was built especially for Lincoln because he was tall.
The part that stuck out to me was when he was talking about the Air Force One pilots. Sounded like he had a real crush on those fellas. Just couldn't seem to emphasize how beautiful those men were.
So please enlighten us as to who you would have in their place.
I was going to tune in but you guys have saved me the time.
Thanks !
Was it more or less enlightening than Call Her Daddy?
That's not a podcast that I've listened to. Apparently you do, so why don't you fill us in?
Off the top of my head...how about Tulsi Gabbard?
Edit to add: *Or anyone intelligent really....there HAS to be some decent people out there right? I just think nobody worth a fuck wants to run because they see how much absolute bullshit you and your family have to go through. It's pathetic honestly, if you decide to run for President the media is gonna dig so deep into your life they are gonna know if you sat next to someone in the 2nd grade that accidentally farted in class...then they'll weaponize that against you.
An RFK/Gabbard or Gabbard/RFK ticket would have been just the prescription this country desperately needed.
Democrat to Bernie-bro to Trump? That has opportunist written all over it.
They are all opportunist.
I have just been impressed when I've heard he speak....she is able to convey ideas and thoughts with intelligence and doesn't just try to go for one line zingers like Trump and Kamala.
Neither candidate now wants to talk about anything they will do to actually help America....one of them wants to just talk shit on the other one and the other one just wants to talk about how awesome they are with a little shit talk sprinkled in.
There are probably dozens of decent potential candidates of all parties that 'could' be good presidents. But the party allegiances that have become even more set in stone have probably taken away the ability of most of them to actually lead with their hearts and minds, and instead lead with what they believe people want to hear and what will get them the biggest war chests to stay in power.
Well, both of them DID run in the primaries and lost out to Joey and were not allowed to against Kamie.(RFK)
So?
Pit Row
Neither ran in this cycle's primaries........
But they have run in the past and were not successful no?
I don't think that RFK Jr has, but past primaries don't really matter anyway. Neither were actually a candidate in any Democrat party elections this elections cycle, I believe.
So did Trump. What's your point?
x2
They ran in primaries and were not successful, that is the first step. They teach you this in the 3rd grade.
Trump has won every primary race he has ran in. KayMallA has not.
Sure did.
Glad we got to hear him talk for 5 minutes about those pilots and not having lights to land rather than anything relevant.
He had an opportunity to talk to the biggest audience in the world and just talked in fucking circles the whole time.
I also want better appearances. They all have to make compromises, but when the compromise is something macro like your entire belief system, that's no good. It's when compromise turns into being straight up for sale. If you're right leaning, the half-decent ones are easy to spot, they're the ones that chose their ideologies (conservatism) over the party of the individual (Trump).
I think that not talking about plans is actually a political strategy.
Can't fail to deliver if you don't promise anything.
Since our government seems to thumb-tie itself into inaction every few years it seems this is the only way.
No, JFK Jr has never run in the primaries. Gabbard received 2 pledged delegates out of 3,979 delegates in 2020.
Trump has not won every primary race he was ran in. He lost several, but he was still able to get enough to win the nomination the last 3 election cycles. Here is a look at the primary results for the Republicans in 2016.
That podcast and Rogan's were both fairly light on substance. But I wasn't surprised by either, because those aren't the types of shows that I would expect to get nuanced takes from.
I mean if you can't get into the weeds in a three hour conversation, where else are you going to?
Especially on Joe Rogan, which is arguably the biggest media platform in the country.
