That's the damn shame about all of their bullshit.

They're not doing any more than we're allowing them to get away with.

Every local, state and federal agency imposes regulation on us on a regular basis. Not laws, regulations. Every one of those agencies has the ability to infringe on our rights unfettered inarguably. Your government controls and manipulates many aspects of your life. For example, how much control do you have over your child's curriculum in a public school? That is an infringement of your rights.

What an asinine argument. Every single person and entity private or public has the ability to infringe on another's rights. Every single person and entity can attempt to control and manipulate you. That doesn't mean there is no recourse and no consequences for such things.

And no, parents have no rights to control public school curriculums, nor should they. If public school isn't providing what they desire for their child, they are free to choose an alternative.

So you’re good with public education sexualizing and encouraging young children to question and or “change” genders without any parental input?  Okay, got it.

Yes......because that is what I said. I'm also good with them teaching reading comprehension. Would've done some good for citizens of Claremont.

Sounds like some indoctrinated speech there. NO, you're not "free" to choose an alternative. You're penalized to the tune of $10,000-$20,000 per year to "choose" an alternative. You see, taxes are collected from you and me to pay for an education. But our lovely politicians are bought and paid for by the teachers union. So if you "choose" an alternative those tax dollars are kept from you and you have to not only continue to pay your taxes but also tuition for the private school MotoTrib says you're "free to choose".

Ignorance is bliss

To help answer what was a trolling response/question to begin with,

Aside from ones already spoken about...

Pretty much every right we have is being chiseled away little by little.

Gun purchases without a snooping government peering in.

The affordable care act, completely brought the snooping government in, to further the red tape process, and to add another layer to have to prove your worthiness to.

Some places you no longer have the freedom to collect rainwater on your own land.

You no longer have the ability to, legally, live completely off the grid.

(I know two who have tried, both out west, and here in the Appalachians)

Hell, even camping, and parking, in the backcountry of the GSMNP has become a regulatory nightmare.

Complete with 5am surprise inspections by rangers checking for permits.

You've lost the right to move about freely without facial recognition cameras tracking close to 100% of your movements.

And how about the push to a cashless economy, electric everything to be controlled.

Ask some who have smart tech in their homes, who've discovered their thermostats can be controlled by an outside source, and shut off.

Like one of our "member's" said,

To paraphrase,

Ignorance is,  ignorant.

OK, perhaps my comment of "no rights to control" was a bit disingenuous.

School boards are the method and limitations of what rights parents should have over curriculum. You want a say in the curriculum? Take the responsibility that should come with that power.

School boards have the power to direct curriculums (not unilaterally, but with limitations), and school boards are made up of citizens. If someone, as a parent, wants to have a direct say in their child's public school curriculum, they should make the effort and take the responsibility of serving on the local school board.

And exactly how many parents do you think can afford to spend the money to get on the school board when the teachers union is spending the union dues of the teachers to get school board members to rubber stamp their wants.

You do understand that the unions put in place people that will do whatever the teachers union wants them to do. It's very expensive to fight an unlimited money supply. My kids are grown, this is the fight of new parents. But if they don't fight now, these things will never get righted.

Being your neighbor means nothing. There are small pockets everywhere that don't follow the national model.

You may have heard the saying, the exception never makes for a good rule. So you could be an exception

or it could also be that you and your neighbors are just the type of people the unions want on the board.

Again, feel free to stay in NJ. And yes, there are things about CA that are shit, we don't need to add to that.

You can change the subject as many times as you like, but I still have: free speech, privacy, the ability to follow my faith without being labelled a terrorist, and can raise my children according to my morals and values.

So I'm not really too concerned about your attempts to score a 'gotcha' on stuff I didn't argue, assert, or voice my opinion on. You said the tax dollars are kept, I pointed out that they weren't.

Suddenly manipulating others to exercise their rights the way you see fit is the solution.....what a surprise. Edit: Sorry I know the manipulation comment wasn't yours and was something Spoonguy said. I shouldn't have put those words in your mouth.

Of course they can petition them, and they should. But they still don't have, and shouldn't have direct control.

Actually, you're the one who changed the subject. You didn't ask what MotoTrib's rights have been chiseled away, you asked it in a general term. So effectively you are not relevant to what's happened to the public. So in your survey of one, you are just irrelevant. And yes you might believe you have free speech if your views are in line with the "allowed free speech". And if your faith is not the one being targeted, again, it would not affect you. Same with raising your kids, if you're following the liberal agenda, you feel like you're doing what you want. It's the people who have views outside of the "Bud Light" crowd that will actively see their freedoms being eroded. And apparently you don't understand taxes. Even if you were right about a "write off" that's entirely different from a "tax credit". Even if it were a tax credit, you'd have to owe more than the credit to begin with. But regardless, in our state, schools are funded by property taxes. You get a bill and pay it. there is no negotiating property tax. And if you rent, it's just passed on to you in the form of higher rent.

I'm pretty sure you have me entirely confused with someone else. I didn't ask anyone about rights being chiseled away.

I'll just keep on breathing the air my gracious government saviors allow me to, get in line for my woke-indoctrination seminar, and wait for my notice of whether or not I'm to be involuntarily gender transitioned. Because that is how anyone who says bunk to your victim-card playing lives, and nothing I can say will convince you otherwise.

They can, at least in Idaho.  We can go to pretty much any School Board meeting and request to speak.

My mistake, you didn't ask the original question of what rights were chiseled away. That doesn't mean the rest about your experience is relevant.

Just curious here, but what faiths have been labelled as a terrorist group?

Every local, state and federal agency imposes regulation on us on a regular basis. Not laws, regulations. Every one of those agencies has the ability to infringe on our rights unfettered inarguably. Your government controls and manipulates many aspects of your life. For example, how much control do you have over your child's curriculum in a public school? That is an infringement of your rights.

What an asinine argument. Every single person and entity private or public has the ability to infringe on another's rights. Every single person and entity can...

And no, parents have no rights to control public school curriculums, nor should they. If public school isn't providing what they desire for their child, they are free to choose an alternative.

The government infringes on your rights through force and the legal, something much more difficult for individuals or private entities. I respect your opinion, but for me it's hard to understand someone not realizing the government infringes on individuals rights. Good lord they can take your home, children, freedom, and income by force whenever they want for whatever reason.

So you’re good with public education sexualizing and encouraging young children to question and or “change” genders without any parental input?  Okay, got it.

Yes......because that is what I said. I'm also good with them teaching reading comprehension. Would've done some good for citizens of Claremont.

No problem with reading comprehension here in Claremont.  Just wanted to see if you would go on record saying that and you did.
