Edgar Prince is the father of Eric Prince and Betsy Devos. Eric Prince was founder of Blackwater the Iraq War mercenary group. Betsy Devos is married to the head of Amway (the original mlm scam) and was appointed the secretary of education by trump. 

They got the courts lined up, they got the state legislatures lined up, 7 mountains.

You don't have to run a conspiracy if you just tell people the plan.

My guess is the public schools in your state are a disaster. And I won't confine it to your state. They all are a disaster unless the student has real initiative or has strong parental involvement. And yes I know there are exceptions.

Suburban and subrural schools are generally pretty good. Rural and urban schools struggle more just like everywhere else. 

20 years ago Ohio was near the top of US school rankings, now it's near the middle. The state has gotten more Red in that time and the state legislature and court is now completely locked up with Republican rule. Most people I went to school with moved out of state or to Columbus which is by far the most liberal part of the state. Theres a brain drain in most other parts of the state, but people do stick around for family obligations, and what used to be cheaper living conditions although that seems to be disappearing too.

I'm glad your daughter had that opportunity.  That's not the same as vouchers and charter schools. Around my parts they took all technical classes (shop, etc) out of the local schools and moved them to the county vocational school. It probably made those technical classes better but decreased the range of students that are able to take them.
