That's pretty cool. I hope they perform well. Will be interesting to see how it comes to market.

I did check some pics, the motocross teams are still Brembo. Might be a street application for now. They don’t clarify the applications or any timeline

I think a bigger issue is that Brembo couldn't meet KTMs volume needs. That's one reason why Brembo bought Braktec was just to up their output capabilities for KTM.

And having WP making brakes this is cheaper for KTM. And i would assume that Brembo is one of the suppliers that definitely did not get all recievables from PMG when they went through the restructuring. So payment terms and the prices got most likely significantly worse for PMG.

Brembo are a Massive company. 
 
They'd have No problem supplying KTMs needs.
 
If they were interested in it, still / for the future.
 
That they probably are one of the many companies Not paid by the previous Pierer group, I'd say their terms to continue supplying the new Bajaj Group would be pretty strict.
 
I've missed what the set up with WP is now - they were owned / controlled by the Pierer group as far as I know, and I'm unsure who the owners / controllers of it are now. Perhaps they were more autonomous from that stuff up, and, are branching out further into a different product line? 
 
Or, it's Bajaj, that may have acquired WP through this mess, and they are moving  onto another (internal) 'product', instead of using Brembo / Brembo's other 'brands'?

It was stated long before the restructuring that Brembo was having difficulty meeting KTMs exploding needs. That is why KTM was using more expensive Maguras, and why Brembo purchased Braktec.

I am sure that the debt restructuring throws a new wrinkle in the relationship though, and there is undoubtedly a cost-cutting component to moving production in-house.

To answer your other question WP, Pankl, and other PMG-owned suppliers are part of the Bajaj takeover (and were always partly owned by Bajaj).

I think you’re onto something, I believe Brembo was one of the suppliers not being paid.

BMW went in-house with the new R1300RT/RT-P brakes as well, after being on Brembo before on the 1250’s.
