Does anyone know if Triumph is using the production exemption rule on their 250?
Does anyone know if Triumph is using the production exemption rule on their 250?
That rule doesn’t exist anymore. The bike is fully homologated
Thnx
If they can't live up to the production quota: (200 bikes by March 1st and another 200 by June 1st) then it could get interesting for Triumph. But I have no doubt they'll get it done.
FYI I walked over to the Triumph area this morning and the 250 is there for the dealers to checkout right now so it must be available to dealers very soon.
The Shop
It is absolutely not a KTM clone and if you look closely you can see that the frames are even name branded.
KTM has a steel frame. I don't believe anyone is saying the frame is based off a KTM.
Great looking bike. Always reminds me of the 1996 YZ
Can't wait to see the test reports of these. I think they're going to be very positive.
They did a whole video about designing and making their frames ages ago...
That hose route looks like it has room for improvement, a minor tweak to the angle would surely let it go where it's going without vibrating/rubbing against the radiator.
Looks great in race form so far! Looking forward to seeing Joey on the outdoor version

Engine looks ktm, radiators look ktm, not suprising frame is branded triumph, and wheels look ktm
Tell us you ride a KTM without telling us 🙃
It definitely has some hole-shot power in that engine.
I lusted over that '96 YZ for years back then! Hell, I'd still buy that thing from a showroom floor! Although I don't love the black plastics, the Triumph does look good to me. Any idea on MSRP yet?
$9,995
Also: you know that KTM does not make their own radiators and wheels, right?
If I had one, the first thing I'd do is change the color to British Green.
A dealer close to me posted this video. Not sure if they are gonna be a triumph dealer or if this is just to show it off.

Pit Row
A UK bike is £9,795 in the UK that equates today as $12,359.
To me the bike looks fine and clean with a basic design. What impressed me was of all the mfg bikes that have come in and tried racing they did a fine job of putting it in the main.
if they put a 350 option up for sale i would have already bought TWO
PIERER mobility group got us by the wiener schnitzels
