98° on Saturday with a real feel at 101°+. I just looked at the start times on Peacock and they have the main show starting at 1:30pm.. wth?!? Just seems odd this race isn’t scheduled to be a night show when it starts to cool off a bit.

Going to be a burner out there for the fans and racers. Hopefully this Hurricane can shake up the forecast!

Day races just don't hit the same for me for an SX/SMX event. Like JT, I also want to be wined and dined...

I didn’t want this to be true as it feels amazing outside right now. But it looks like Satan is making a return midweek.

Dude what if they pushed it to a night program due to heat? It’s not on big NBC. It would fuck up a lot of the riders flights, but I think they would be in favor for cooler temps.

Moving it to the night wouldn't be that much better for temperature, it's still in the upper to mid 90's in the evenings.

Yeah but we all know the sun is a killer. Can work all day in the heat with shade. But that sun will melt you. Especially with all the gear on.

And I think the humidity might be a little bit higher too, but maybe not.

How's the lighting on the Texas track. It could all be as simple as that.

Well the forecast has gone up 4 degrees from last night to 102 for Saturday. So we are getting there!

I'm a little invested here too because my dumb@ass is signed up for my first century ride that day 😩

I’d imagine it comes down to lighting also. Even with portable work lights Daytona always has those dark spots.
