No way, I mentioned in the other thread they should put down some cones and race a sloppy oval...the Oakland Oval. This would be much better racing than watching them try to roll over jumps and get stuck in ruts.

The only real reason to cancel it is if the track just can't be built or if the area is put under a State of Emergency. It's not like it will hurt attendance. lol

The decision will be driven locally by the loss of life, power outages, evacuations, etc., not the viability of the racing surface.

Fun poll, but it's the wrong question. Feld has zero incentive to cancel the event on their own accord.

I can't imagine anyone wanting to cancel the race for racing reasons. Some form of race is better than no form of race. I can understand the locals cancelling it if the state of emergency gets bad enough. I would have felt weird taking my family to Disney on Ice during the great Texas freeze of '21.
Everyone that votes "NO RACING" should be suspended for 1 week from the forum.
Don’t be. I took him too. I’d figure he would finish top ten at A1 therefore being an all star for Oakland. We got more value from picking him at A1.

However they need to have some plan in place to deal with the extreme weather. A shit show is not good for FELD, the sponsors, or the fans. I can remember seeing the Oakland stadium still flooded for baseball a day after the rain stopped. Are they able to build a track? They build the track with loose dirt, if that loose dirt is saturated with water, then it becomes mud, and you cant build a track with mud!
I'm legit curious to see what they are able to do with completely saturated mud. Maybe a couple of pee wee sized jumps?
