Not just moto, what about MTB?

I know JMB did MX and road racing, but I don’t know of anyone that was so competitive in both disciplines.

Jett would’ve crashed out like ten times without the O’Show.  He’s a bad mf.

I have always believed omara to be the number 1 coach.

He coached Carmichael to his first few titles.

Then coached James.

Then dungey. Then barcia, then jmart.

Now he is coaching the Lawrence's.

All those riders came into the ranks under omara. Won a few titles. Then either went to aldon and became a superstar. Or left and havnt done much since.

O' Show should be our next MXdN team manager

He mentioned that he and O'Mara had some "reaaally tough conversations and he isn't going to sugarcoat it." Wonder if that's when he left O'mara or during the process of winning his titles.

I’ve been saying for years, if Johnny would have moved to Florida like RC wanted, nobody in our sport knows who Aldon Bakee is.

Johnny is an incredible influence on who ever he works with, training is a religion to him and it’s his way or the highway, and he absolutely doesn’t sugarcoat it.

You say this as Webb basically showed that he needs aldon to be a factor

He never really left Johnny, he kept an eye on things until Aldon had a pretty good grasp of what it took to train a motorcycle rider.

They had a couple come to Jesus talks, I know a big one was during RCs first year on a 250, that off season is when the shit hit the fan.

Did he? He got second in the opener last year too. But I will somewhat agree with you, Webb needs structure, not a yes man.

Johnny is definitely not a yes man. I’ve heard him come down on the golden child pretty hard.

Always been a big Johnny O fan. Lawrences are lucky to have him There are numerous riders that could use his help.

Pic of him back in the day at Indian Dunes. Always smooth, fast and stylish .

Read an interview with him back in the day. He said his dad would stand by the track and throw rocks at him if he thought Johnny was not riding hard enough.

The story is that Johnny O' got his start sweeping floors at Al Baker's shop. You don't get any more OG moto than Johnny O.

anyone have old footage of O'Mara riding that all white Mugen 125?

Well, sorta .. from the 1980 125cc USGP @ Mid Ohio, the race that put Omara in the spotlight & launched his career.

1st couple minutes is as he took the win in 1st Moto, rest is a 3rd place 2nd Moto that sealed the overall.

It was .. a bit muddy, we arrived on a Thursday morning for the Sunday race, the best of times.

Actually O'show did not win at Daytona on that sky shot, RJ did.

That 1984 HRC Honda was so rad. I was fortunate enough to see him and Wardy battle at Washougal that year.

My boy and I met him at unadilla in 2019, super cool guy. He talked with us for a little bit, got his pic with my boy even knowing my boy didn’t look at the camera. The white mugen Honda was cool as hellE513AF5A-0464-474C-89DC-7331F5378C7B.jpeg?VersionId=UMiUkuk
