California as a whole is one big state of emergency
Yeah, way before this weekend though.
Anyways, I'm glad. Not because "muh tuffest sport ever" isnt true, but to see a guy lose a championship or something in the end over this weekend is kind of silly. Hoping it's not as bad as it seems and people arent getting hurt over the weather ):

I mean, 17 people have died so far due to these storms...so...
Bring back a weekday race! That made me so happy when they were doing those, makes the week a ton of fun. I combined my gym session with the race one night and tried to match the motos in length and mimic the intensity of a ride based on HR data. A weeknight could work, especially before another California race since the travel distance is not too bad or hectic.
Well, I would rather watch a dry race in the future during what was going to be an off-weekend, than a mudder this weekend. Delayed gratification my friends.

Exactly, sucks that we won’t see a race this weekend but by the time the new date comes around, we’ll have forgotten about this weekend and will be glad to see a race on a dry track.
It's still up, but it might not be the 18th of February like he mentioned.
I say they still run it the 18th but they should go back to a stadium that has helped in the past, Camping World Stadium in Orlando. My opinion has nothing to do with the fact that it would be better for me.
all the pushback and ridicule for the people posting for it to be cancelled on Vital. smh. we were right, sorry. yes they’re “dirt bikes”, we already knew that. the race would have been a mistake, for so many obvious reasons that it’s not even worth unpacking to those who didn’t get it from the start. good job to Feld, i’m sure the riders are even more relieved than the fans with senses.
I was one of the guys who said to run the race rain or shine, but I can understand the difficulty in even building this track in the rain. Oh well, let's look forward to the revised date.
Good - I know mud racing is a part of the sport but I don't like watching a severe mud race. I'm ok racing in them, at least I used to be, but I'm not a fan of watching one.

Yep..cancelled. My saturday night is ruined now haha
At least the NFL playoffs are on.🤔
This is what happens when you have almost all of the first 5 races in the same state....STOP GOING TO CALIFORNIA SO MUCH.
I guarantee all my downvotes are from CA. Its just facts people. Open stadiums don't agree with mother nature.

Superubermegamotocross : rain = 0: 1
Price of hot catalytic converters expected to rise in Oakland due to supply shortages. The Butterfly Effect strikes again.
they have the available venues this time of year, usually have good weather, and a large portion of the fan base is on the west coast.
They do have an off Saturday on Feb 18th, maybe they can do it then

It's not so bad here in Thousand Oaks, but NorCal has been and is getting hammered. FELD gets a pass on this one.

Bummer cause it's my birthday and i had the whole day planned around the race.
Wise decision though, things are looking pretty rough over there.

Hmmm...
What happened to the Matthes Tweet that said Postponed 'til Feb 18th...?

He did qualify the Feb 18 statement:
Has a Supercross ever been canceled for weather? I know an outdoor National has !

"2 weeks to slow the rain"
It's postponed not canceled and yes a few years back I believe they had to postpone and reschedule due to NFL playoff schedule in Houston...
postponed, cancelled, NOT going to happen this weekend with torrential downpours is the point.
Looks like Feb 18 is official now:

Imagine trying to build a professional supercross track out of chocolate pudding...
