Can we normalize having this race in September, please. I believe if the date had not changed this year we would have had Chase, Deegan (rumor was if Chase went he went) & we would have had everyone trying to ride the MX3 class .
Thanks for listening.
why was Deegans choice dependent on Sexton? wouldn't you race for your country out of pride? Especially if all year, your vocal on being passionate about your country.
It was clear Star made the decision not to fund their rider to race mxon…willful ignorance on your part.
but they do fund Webb to race Paris SX?
Its probably going to be in October going forward as long as there is SMX I would think. Unless they further compress the AMA schedule. In 2024 the last national is August 24th, so if they have the same pattern as this year with a weekend off before SMX, 3 rounds of SMX and a weekend off before Nations, that puts you out at October 5th and 6th. I don't see how they get away from a weekend off between nationals and SMX, or SMX and Nations, assuming they want AMA riders to participate...

yeah nah.. not believing that haha Star has sent riders just about every year. They have one of the largest teams and always have been large on "American pride" since the beginning. Plus the Factory Yamaha team in MXGP's is also backed by Monster.
your argument is they didn't want to fund the event? but if sexton was going they would? explain..?
Agree, someone claimed he was waiting to hear Sexton's decision. Funny how J Coop was going til they changed the date. I don't believe it was star making the decision.
Weege podcast today pretty well unloaded on star.... I was glad to hear it. I don't totally believe their explanation but I believe they said those things to weege and it's pretty shitty, so glad they got called out on it a little.
I still tend to believe that if Deegan wanted to go he would have been there, but who knows.
What pod was that? Interested to hear what was said.

Guy who wins the premier class at the nations does so out of small private van, your telling me if Deegan wanted to be there he couldn’t work out one wk end with all the hundreds of millions the family has in the bank.
This wasn’t about money or star support.
What's your take on Weege saying if it were up to KTM and Sexton only, he would have been there?
It's semantics. It is up to them and he wasn't there, so....... also a little confusing to me about what exactly they mean. What bike would he have been on? Is that ktm saying they are fine with him riding Honda one more time in which case I can see why Honda wouldn't want to bother, or is this saying he'd be on a KTM he'd barely ridden which seems unlikely as not at all how you want to show off your new rider.
I suspect with sexton it was just too many moving parts and not any big motivation from anyone involved to really make it work.
The wording came off as a third party was the issue, as in.... KTM and Sexton were down to go.
Monster/Red Bull?
That's what I was thinking as well.
If that was the case, just don't represent either. Are these contracts really written to where sexton can't ride unless he's got the logo on?
Why risk your job that pays millions for a one off yearly race at the end of 30 plus races.
That’s like continuing to work for a week when you get two weeks paid vacation. Plus, you could get hurt and lose future income etc.
The USA schedule and lack of pay I’m afraid will keep the MXoN being a race many Americans will attend.
Not about loyalty, it’s about money.
Sexton and Kitchen went Hawaii to relax and decompress before they start training for SX.
Lol,if kroc didnt have the good weekend he did, this wouldnt have been mentioned . The ole box van reason now. Why do care so much about deegans money, maybe worry about doing something about it. Start a team. .
I fail to see how this event can be in September anymore now SMX exists. The dates haven’t been announced for SMX in 2024 yet but the last national is Ironman on 24th August. I assume there will be at least one week off between the last round of nationals and first SMX, doesn’t leave a whole lot of room in September for three SMX races and MXdN

It’s pretty clear that only one manufacturer takes the MXON seriously every year regardless of location and that’s the KTM group. RJ and Craig were praising the help they got from their European colleagues. You guys in the US should think about that when changing your bike next time. Do you really want to support an organization that impedes your top riders representing their country.
Your polarized view on this subject is becoming embarrassingly delusional at this stage. The “it’s their money not yours” position holds no substance at all to the narrative at hand.
Sorry bud you're wrong.....When his team says no it's no.....
And you worried about other peoples decisions is comical. How about worry about yourself? Crazy idea, or even better start s team and spend your $$. But you wont, easy to spend others $$ for you . What are you doing to help the situation, i will wait.
You understand that he scheduled his wedding around the original date and then they moved it to the date of his wedding correct?
As much as everyone loves the idea of this race we need a coming together of all the powers that be in the motocross universe to insure that we get the best teams every year. As it is now we will get what we saw this year.
What do you suggest ? They already moved it to accommodate the SMX schedule.
I'm not saying I have the perfect answer but their needs to be a consensus among all teams, sanctioning bodies, promoters etc. that this race should be properly accommodated and supported each year. I think it could be turned into the event that really puts the sport on the map worldwide and not just amongst us FANatics
Ken Roczen proved that you don't need to spend hundreds of thousands of millions to be able to show up to race MXoN. Whatever the reason was on Star not sending a team is irrelevant now. But riders can't put the excuse of not having the team "infrastructure" in place to have a competitive machine.
Remember Ken is on a privateer team so all he proved is that a privateer team can put a program...I don't think the riders use that excuse...it's the teams not wanting them on anything but the bikes and teams they are contracted to race...the only rider that backed out himself was Cooper for personal reasons....everyone else was kept out because of their teams.
Enough of this MXoN madness, where are the Coop and brides wedding photos?😜❤️
Has this been clarified by the moto 'journalists'?
