He beat Huntah in 22. He can win, for sure.

I think Harruup (sp) is the only other US based MX2 guy, I think JC has an advantage at Ironman

Technically I don't think there any such thing winning your class anymore, but I get your drift. He could be the best 250 guy if he gets a good start or two based on his history. He delivered at Red Bud for us that is for sure!

They still do presentations/trophies for class winners.

Yes. But in the grand scheme of things it doesn’t matter. For example, say Cooper finishes 5th overall in his combined moto and is the 1st 250 rider then he gets 5 points “against” team USA, not 1 point. More importantly, if the 2nd finishing 250 rider (let’s say Webster for argument sake) finishes 12th combined then that’s 12 points against Australia instead of 2 for being the 2nd finishing 250 rider.

It’ll be really interesting. I think Sacha and De Wolf might have more speed than Cooper, but I could see Cooper just stomping everyone, especially because of the track. It’s going to be a great race regardless.

Eli, RJ and J Coop should sit down together and watch the video of this performance Saturday night.

I think it's entirely possible all three of our guys land on the podium. It's literally all we need to win. No hero rides, just solid podium rides across the board. Jett ad Hunter can win both their classes and we still are probably winning if we just keep it constant. This is a smart team of veterans that can make that happen.

As fast as Justin is, I can see him being only 3rd or 4th fastest 250 rider.

Sorry guys.

If Justin has the speed that he had all year outdoors, I think he can contend with the best MX2 riders. He wasn’t beating Jett but nobody else was either. But he was right there with Eli and Hunter. He was 4th overall at Iron Man and 2 of the three guys ahead of him are on team USA.

A big advantage with taking Justin Cooper in line for the 250's is also that he will have the fastest MX2 bike out of the gate from all the 250 racers.

The star racing yamaha against the other bikes in the middle of the 450 is quite the advantage.

We are going to need everyone’s starts to be on point in this weekend. Win or lose it’s the coolest event of the year. I don’t get caught up in who wins it’s just awesome to see everyone racing together. Obviously it would be awesome if the boys get it done.

They have to run FIM approved fuel and meet the FIM noise standard.

Still the fastest MX2 bike on track. Sacha being light can match him at the start, gonna be hard for De Wolf or Simon

Is it? De Wolf had better finishes than Webb last year.

I don't buy that the Star 250 is a massive advantage either.

Webb's first lap position last year for his 3 races was:

MX2 qualification race: 5th.

MXGP + MX2 final: 23rd.

MX2 + Open: 12th.

His finishes were:

MX2 qualification race: 7th.

MXGP + MX2 final: 17th.

MX2 + Open: 9th.

He was 5th overall MX2.

Yeah I don’t think the Star 250 still has the power advantage it once had.

Credit where credit is due because I feel like without Deegan we wouldn't even talk about the 250 star bikes at all currently.

Also the austrian 250 bikes in the MXGP are no joke, those things are built rocket ships.. But I guess it's also kinda hard to compare since they also always have the best 5-6 riders in the class. The KTM group has definitely been the most committed to win the MX2 title for years.
