Knew it was only a matter of time. Over 60% of wins in the 250 class, guys good but he isn’t what everyone thinks he is.

Ducking Deegan by racing the GPs, probably a smart move

Ultra fast…. But the history shows he’s brittle.

It will be interesting to see how long he’s out.  He has proven he can overcome a points deficit.

So? A win is a win. Should you not count 250 wins you shouldn’t count them for anyone. Everts or whatever their name is.

a championship is as good as the riders in it. He can’t help he had no competition in his later mx2 days.

same with Jett now, he might win this 450 title because the other guys aren’t there. Fair to say that?

Not the first dude that has blazing speed but can’t stay off the side lines. Unfortunately won’t be the last, either.

The guy goes for it and its just a matter of time before he wrecks. And when he does its usually brutal.

More like because its the same story, year after year after year.

There's a reason why guys like tomac, dungey, webb, RC.. etc go their entire careers with few hard crashes, and very few injuries(the tomac heel thing is a fluke, since it wasnt rider error / crash) These guys know when to push and when to back off and live to fight another day. You can't win them all

and there's a reason why guys like herlings can't make a single year without crashing out and hurting themselves. How many years has herlings raced 450's? How many of those years has he been injured, or crashed out?

It's not coincidence. When you ride over your limit or on the razors edge of that limit ALL the time you're eventually going to crash. Stewart is another one. These guys are blazzingly fast but it comes at a cost... Do you want to be known as the fastest guy that crashes all the time? or the guy who brings home world titles? He really needs to evaluate this

Really not hard to predict he would crash himself out and get hurt. I just didn't think it would happen this quickly

Lazy take, most of his injuries are weird accidents. 85 show race, sighting lap, team photoshoot, getting landed on etc

I don't know if you've actually seen herlings in real life ....i've been Lucky enough to see him from his 65cc until now....and herlings is definitely not a rider who fails more often than anyone else ....the only thing he does have is when he falls.....he often has something.....

The tone of his two story posts on instagram feels promising to me somehow. Hopefully just a scare and taking precaution with the neck. Best case scenario is a strain

Doesn't even need to be real life, people who actually follow the series know he's not some regular crasher. Most of this board just check the results and timing for mxgp

Hope he heals up quick and gets back on a bike soon.

With that said, the dude is blazing fast but the faster you go the harder you hit the ground. He doesn’t need to go 100% to win. Perfect example is Jett. Jett gets to the lead pulls out a bit and maintains that instead of going balls out trying to win by a huge margin. If JH did more of that, he’d have more wins and more titles.

He was by no means balls to the wall this season 😉

Oh yeah. Be as fast as Jett Lawrence. Why don't all the pros do that? Just... be two seconds a lap faster than everyone else.

My favorite rider out of both series is gasjer. Has nothing to do with being American or not. Herlings can’t even thank Ktm, he’s cocky just not my cup of tea.

Strange considering how massive his neck is, I can't wait to see him Vs Jett... battle of the necks.
