That’s how a motocross track should be.. not a slot car track with zero passing..

I think the last two years have been good track prep for outdoors. Everyone is just on a high from the great racing today.

Track and dirt looked amazing. Watching those boys rail the first two corners was what outdoor motocross is all about. They were absolutely pinned. Dirt was prime.

I wholeheartedly agree! I made a comment the other day about the sand and ripping too much. The track was a pleasant Suprise! Even saw a hint of dust.

That track was a race track! Mixed sections, some loam, some sand, some hardpack, a little dust.

Let's see if we can get this prep again!

Can we get @ML512 or someone else to show DC this tweet and ask for his opinion on the prep and if they will try to get the other tracks to try similar?

Yep, Thunder Valley waters then rips then waters 3 more times then rips again and waters 3 more times to create the slot car ruts…. It would be remarkable if they would back it down a little.

Billy Hilton (Dirt Diggers President) took over as track director for the event this year and drove the changes. He says "wait till next year" Smile

Yea Lakewood has had some crazy ruts for years now. Definitely doesn’t help the racing.
