Those companies also support a lot of other riders.

If you want to stop supporting a company, stop supporting Leisure Concepts/SmarTop. The guy who owns the company is the one signing the cheques.   

I'm not a fan of Friese either, but damn man, relax. Whether you're a fan of Friese, or not, this doesn't help anyone or the situation.

If people, namely the other riders, really want vince to stop, they'll have to return the favor and give back to him what he's given to them. I don't think you would see a Friese fan take issue with that, either.

Not specifically to or at Mav…but, about this subject…in general and as it addresses the team:

Mike spends a serious amount of money to run a team that races SX, WSX & the SMX play offs. While we may not love one of his riders, it’s not a reasonable position to slide into “cancel culture mode” just like it’s not reasonable to lay Hunter’s results on Vince. 

I’ve been fairly vocal about my angst and disappointment in Vince’s antics; but, calling for “Boycotts” or thinly veiled attempts to “cancel” teams and sponsors? 

I’m just gonna remind everyone that this is our sport and we’re historically NOT a punch of pussies; so, please…can we just stop this shit? 

About Mike Genova: he LOVES this sport. PERIOD. Does he have a history of having a rider…or 2…that wear black hats and cause a bit of drama? Yup!

Now, as some of us sit here and stew in our anger and hate…know this…there are people out there who’s job it is to police this stuff. And, regardless of wether or not you agree with me…or them…the people that “police” our sport HAVE been doing their job.

Any rider who has a bike length lead heading into the first turn has the right to go for the best line, that is the benefit of getting the holeshot. He did not blatantly cut anyone off, it’s up to Hunter to back off and give him the line.

Why boycott his sponsors when they are the victim in this latest incident? Friese had 1/2 bike length on the entire field and an absolutely perfect line to the corner but decided instead to try to be cute and cut off the field (which was his right). I would be pissed if I were Genova and MCR's sponsors, their bike should have been front and center on TV with a massive holeshot and lead in the heat race.

The rest of the guys including Hunter are not victims, they should have let off when they saw that idiot sacrificing his own holeshot to instead cut across their lines and put himself in position to allow what happened to him to happen.

Imagine thinking race fans would agree to something so stupid.
