I guess what I meant is having money and not having to worry about problems that involve money on a daily basis is nice. In a way it does buy happiness. It is nice being able to give your loved ones nice stuff and not running up a huge debt and worrying about that constantly in the back of your head. Seeing people I care about happy and having a good time is happiness to me. So ya it can buy happiness. Money is what causes the most problems for most people, you can say happiness is better. But I don't care how happy and content you are, being evicted out of your house wouldn't be too much fun. Money would prevent that.

In the first 6 rounds of the 2019 East Coast SX season no one beat him. He won the first 5 races and then was the top east guy at an East/West shootout. That is not "podium guy" that is domination. He would have only needed to finish in 15th place in the final 3 races that he missed to win the series. Love him or hate him as you obviously do, we haven't seen that kind of domination in the 250 class in a long time. Facts are a stubborn thing.

I will say this as clearly as possible. This sport is rampant with cluster B personalities. Austin Forkner was raised by an extremely narcissistic dad. I can sympathize with him. I hope he has started to figure out his mental game because he does have a ton of talent on a motorbike and is exciting to watch. Seen him in Washougal 16’, won his first outdoor moto at 16 years old I believe at the time.

If you would have stated in your original post that he was rocket fast and can win races but too often has a big mistake that takes him out of a series, therefor you doubt he will ever be champion I would not have even responded to you. I've met austin and his dad, well this was about a decade ago. In person he's a really cool and laid-back guy. Actually that's how I know you've never met the Forkner's, because they are really friendly and cool people in person. Of course all moto dad's are going to be serious at that level and a little high-strung about certain details with the riding: should have taken this line and not that one, blah blah
What I really have a problem with is your self or virtual diagnoses, calling someone a "narcissist." First of all, he doesn't come anywhere close to meeting any of the qualitative attributes of the condition. But even if he did, you have to realize that these "mental illnesses" are subjectively diagnosed, and not objectively. That is to say, a psychiatrist will say qualitatively that an individual is a bipolar, narcissist, sociopath, obsessive compulsive and so on. There is no quantifiable evidence that can prove any of these diagnoses. There is no blood work, brain scan, or lab test that can confirm if someone is a "bipolar" "narcissist" or "sociopath." I hate to drive that point in, but these arbitrary diagnoses ruin the lives of many people, even when they are formally diagnosed by a medical professional
I think the politics and lack of results kinda soured his image a bit. Sucks that he and Cianciarulo haven't really blossomed as much as someone like Sexton who is younger than both of the kawi guys. Hopefully this is his year though, would be nice to see a shootout every weekend for podiums and wins.
