I think the politics and lack of results kinda soured his image a bit. Sucks that he and Cianciarulo haven't really blossomed as much as someone like Sexton who is younger than both of the kawi guys. Hopefully this is his year though, would be nice to see a shootout every weekend for podiums and wins.

I think professional racing is just really hard. As spectators we can't even comprehend the type of risk the riders are taking, and all for our enjoyment. Yeah you can easily say that Austin or AC haven't done "as well" as Sexton in terms of 450 results. In reality, Austin has never even had a chance to prove himself alongside Sexton in the premier class. And for every guy saying that Forkner hasn't done as well as Sexton, there are 5-10 guys in a Sexton thread saying that Chase "rides over his head."

You should all appreciate these guys for the risks they take for your entertainment. Yes they earn fair money at the highest level, but some risk everything for your enjoyment on any given saturday night and get little financial compensation for that risk. Just take a look at Brandon Hartranft who might never walk again. Think twice before you drag someone's family through the mud. And think to yourself, wow how much has this person done for my entertainment in comparison to how much I've contributed to their sponsors. After all, any of these guys could be stuck in a chair for life after any bad night, so keep that in mind before you go hog wild with your jealousy and hate

Keep in mind that the same can be said about all of us on this forum that ride every week for a substantial financial loss (bikes, vans, parts and gear aint cheap).

Just wanted to be the devil's advocate here.

Sometimes I wish vital would do us all a favor and expose some of these clowns. We have a guy being a virtual psychotherapist as well as a possible begrudged  x girlfriend on the loose 😂

People like to spread hate or negativity.  It’s just a small percentage that do it…..those that do are good at it.  How anyone could think Forkner is anything but awesome (considering the fact that we are fans of the sport) is beyond me.  We are talking moto and the guys wife and her relations becomes a topic…..it’s too much man.

There's quite a big double handful of rather twisted people who have posted here with issues, to say the very least.

Truth hurts. Sorry but I have enough wisdom to see Austin’s struggles for what they are. Most people will never reflect on themselves because it means accepting your shadow. Tony Alessi is the perfect example of narcissistic personality disorder. Mike golden child, Jeff the scapegoat. Vince just another golden child. Can do no wrong. No one ever says this to their face cuz they know if you do then your their target to destroy…..you may finally see it one day. Until then flame on.

It’s disrespectful people like you that have caused many of the riders, riders family members, and industry insiders to no longer post on here. You obviously have an axe to grind with Austin and his family why you chose a public forum to do that is beyond me….maybe its because your chicken shit ass would be afraid to leave your keyboard and have an adult conversation face to face….nothing worse than trolls like you that continue to come on here after getting axed time and time again with new user names…

If Austin were to ever read this or if pops is actually his dad. This may be the wake up call that can change his career trajectory before it’s too late. I am a fan of his because I can see the truth. Most don’t. I am here cause I think Austin deserves to know at this point. He won’t quit and that is admirable. Case closed. Not gonna beat a dead horse (DonM).

I may be able to claim I’ve known Mike longer than anyone on here (since the early 80s) and will say Mikes a legitimately good guy.

And also, to turn it around and disparage his mom is on a whole other level. He needs to be exposed. If everyone used their real name, mine is close, there would be a whole lot less of this kind of crap.

Jivegirl doesn’t have a clue about Mike, and only a coward of the highest degree would spew the drivel he has been spewing behind the anonymity of his username.

I don’t look at Twitter, etc, but I’m guessing he’s like the vast majority of us from MO.

Anti Biden, pro 2/A,

anti drag shows for kids, pro family values.

you know, the really radical stuff

After making the Spork image, I couldn’t stop thinking about alternate names for Forkner: Sporkner:   Borkner: Dorkner:  Porkner:

Dorkner:

This takes me back to the grade school bullies.  Mork and Mindy was a hot show then so that would be piled on.

"Tork the dork eats pork with a spork and Wendy"

Wendy was the super tall girl that developed early and ended up being a smoke show.

carry on it's funny to me.

They dont race for "our enjoyment" or "Our entertainment" Even if no one is watching racer's race and it has nothing to do with entertaining us. You have obviously never raced because you have no clue why we race.

My kids raced with Austin around 2005- 2007  on the trail to LL's and we had a lot of respect for him then and now.  After a divorce,

their racing ended and I did not see Austin race again until High Point in 2016.  I ran into his mom on the hill with the rest of the fans in the cheap seats and we both screamed our hearts out for him.  I hope he has an injury free season and does well.

Nobody is pressuring you to lay your life on the line. It’s a bad comparison and you’re not taking nearly the same risks as a top Supercross pro.

I’ll never understand why grown men care so much about the personal life of someone they don’t know and have never met. Way too much talk about girlfriends in the moto world. So many drama queens in the form of grown men who apparently race motorcycles (or rode once)?  Sometimes I wonder if I’m the only one who’s only here for the bikes and racing.

Maybe not, but they are also doing this voluntarily.  I do not understand the mentality around the risks they take.  They do not have to do this and nobody has a gun to anyones head.  Yes, the risks are high no doubt, but it is 100% their choice and I love the sport overall.  I have tremendous admiration for how talented every rider on the gate is.  The 40th place guy at a national is faster than every "local" guy that kids can't imagine anyone being faster.  It really is badass.....but still their choice.

Are you serious dude? The whole thing (especially supercross) is a massive circus/show. I don't think any of the riders really enjoy getting cleaned out, having their crashes end up on a crash reel to be played over and over. Yes there is a financial incentive for them to do the best, but it goes without saying that these supercross riders but up with a lot of humiliation and spectacle for the purposes of entertaining fans. They even spend hours signing autographs and doing media, so yes they race for YOUR enjoyment and you can show a little appreciation for the risks they take to entertain you, at least every once and a while

It’s obviously their choice, but how you perform at your next race doesn’t determine your paycheck or if you’ll have a job at your chosen profession that you’ve worked toward your whole life for next year. Big difference. Nobody is pressuring you to do that quad or take more risks.

Dude, I appreciate the riders as much or more than anyone, but they are NOT showing up for our enjoyment or entertainment.  They are doing it for the money or personal satisfaction or both.  In addition, they love being in the spotlight and being able to say they are pro athletes.  It is an adrenaline and ego thing for them 1000%.  Not going to say specific names, but there are numerous "privateers" that have a bunch of support and make somewhere in the 75 -150K range.  If they weren't racing, they have basically no other qualifications/skills/experience and they love it.  Many are also counting on industry jobs when they are done so they aren't digging ditches or construction or fireman etc.  Have you listened to any podcasts with them?  Listen to Jim Holley or Christian Craig or a number or others who saw the "real" world and twisted it harder to avoid that life.

With all that said, none of what they are doing is wrong and I wish I could have achieved that level, but please stop acting like they are showing up so you can enjoy watching them.

I am not sure what career you chose, but if you don't perform in my job or really anyone I know, you lose that job.  Same same.  Botch a surgery as a doc?  Lose cases as a lawyer?  Screw up at a job site?  Miss that sale over and over?  Late to work?  Mess up the sandwich?  All of those consistently will get you gone or at a minimum cost you future growth.  Tell me again how that is different and also how they are forced to line up.
