WOW !!

2 1/2 hours of riveting action, a mind-bending story, hallucinogenic imagery, fantastic production values ... just a total A + effort from top to bottom.

It might be too much for some but you won't be walking out bitching about getting your money's worth. This is a thinking man's sci-fi thriller with an extremely complex plot line ... but doesn't shy away from intense action sequences. They even manage to weave in a love story throughout the plot.


I particularly liked Hans Zimmer's score, which managed to match the surreal imagery with a dramatic, powerful score. Check the almost Phillip Glass-like modal progression and the way he builds it in layers, towards the high point -

Is "extremely complex plotline" industry code for "bad editing and hard to follow"? J/K man...professional sounding review. I haven't seen it but will be sure to bring a smart person who can explain it to me after.

I saw it the other day too after hearing lots of good things. Two thumbs way up for me!

However, with one caveat - if you are or have recently been, actively suicidal, I don't recommend it. lol

It's one of those movies that you just HAVE to see in theaters, as it won't be the same at home. My sister and I went and saw it 3 times!



It's sooo intense.

Leo is a total badass too!

My wife and one of her friends went to see it because DiCaprio is in it.

She said that it was way too intense and involved for her, but that I would love it.

Sounds like she was right.

pretty good review.

I wasn't as blown away by it as you, but definitely found it to be a good movie. There's a little twist in it.

If I were grading it, I'd give it an A.

The ending sucked and the fact that they never explained the "science" behind what they were doing bugs the shit out of me. It was kinda fun but in the end I thought it was wanting to be more than it was.
