It’s funny because Netflix is the most woke of the woke. They’ll pull it in the near future so better watch it soon, like within the next day.

I saw it , and really dug it. He really hit a nerve I bet with some groups , and I love it. The Woke crowd accused him of having " white privilege " haha! Fucking Dave Chappelle ! The SOB calls out everyone......he doesn't care who or what you are. And that's what I dig about him. Legend.

I agree that Netflix is in the wokest of the woke category, but I highly doubt they're going to pull this one anytime soon. They paid Chapelle too much money to shelve anything he's done.

The “woke” have been trying to get him booted from Netflix since 4 specials ago but they’re still watching and still getting all pissy. I bet half the clicks are from people just wanting to hate him. He takes shots at everyone and it feels a bit too preachy sometimes, but he’s just so great at what he does, you just want to listen. He’d be a great politician.

We were talking about it at work today. I still think his early 2000’s stuff was the best. But that being said there were a few spit out your drink funny moments

Watched it last night.

It's really good in points but it was actually pretty messy for Chapelle. Kinda felt like it needed another few months of shows to clean it up. He's usually clinical in circling back or linking call backs to layer a point and I think he actually mis-delivered at least two lines, you could see it on his face and reaction...

But on the other hand, it was super cool to see him throw back to his early work, just being silly and fun. He had some moments that felt like Killing them Softly or even Def Jam, just going hard with some rude stuff which was cool to see, he's been quite focused on being more serious for a while.

Ole Billy red nuts still has the crown right now I think but all time it's hard to pass Dave!

Watched it last night..I thought the ending was lame. He was trying too hard to prove he is not transphobic or whatever they call it.

As much as he likes to play up the “ cancel me” I don’t care crap, he was clearly groveling at the end..

Exactly. Miserable pieces of shit who won’t rest until everyone else is as miserable as they are.

Oh actually – another thing popped in to my head about this thread whilst I was doing the shopping – did anyone else notice the two hefty white ladies who might have looked, ahem, alternate, sitting front and centre.

They looked like they were having a whale of a time. haha.

It had a few comedic moments but got too preachy and apologetic. It seems like he’s now kissing the ass of everyone whose head he stepped on to get to the top. He’s done far better work.

I like dave.

Really enjoyed the episode of "ride with Norman reedus" that he was in, and respect him for his monolog on snl right after the last election, reminding democrates how they felt afterrible the 2016 election, and that they should remember that feeling before gloating too much.

Funny that this special either pandered too much or not enough according to some people.

I thought it was funny, not the best stand up ever, but decent.

So many of you guys are "My People".

I find it entertaining that the Woke argument seems to be,"Science be damned! It ONLY about how -I- IDENTIFY!"

To which, I always say...

I have to say that I saw Nick Offerman from Parks and Rec do stand up right before covid and he was the opposite of what he seems. He is the wokest. He angrily complained about white people which is usually hilarious the whole show and barely got a giggle out of the full crowd and many left. It was like a Facebook rant where he just hates white people completely. I will laugh at white people jokes all day, jokes are jokes and I have seen plenty of hilarious shows hating but Nick fealt more like a total angry meltdown and no punch lines. I fealt someone really pissed him off backstage and he went off script. The quieter the room got the meaner he got. It was sad and I was embarrassed for him. Never looked at him the same since. I have been to countless comedy shows and that was the only one where I was not sure I was at a comedy show.

Not his best comedy, but I thought it was great. I don't understand why people think it's dangerous to trans people. I thought he did a great job explaining where he was coming from and that he has no hatred for trans people. I loved when he joked that he's never been anti-trans, just anti-whiteGrinning . I find it curious that the self-proclaimed liberals who are upset at him are not upset at the non-black comics who make even less tactful and less funny jokes about trans people. My friends and I would all describe ourselves as liberals, and we all don't get what the blowback is about. The "woke" people complaining are the minority / far far left.

It's a shame that Offerman is 180 degrees opposite of what he plays on Parks and Rec.

Makes you wonder who else is acting when they are on camera.

The great thing about Chappelle is that he will not back down and apologize, which takes away all the power from these idiots (because once someone apologizes, they then go after their job, their career, and anybody else who supports them).

Offerman has been very consistent in his approach for a very long time. If anyone saw him just before the pandemic hit and expected him to do a stand up as his Ron Swanson character, then they really had never actually seen him other than on Parks and Rec.
