I got the XGPS160 to go along with a LitPro subscription and the feedback you get is pretty amazing on the track. I highly recommend it. I'm not super pumped on my mounting solution though and was wondering if anyone has any suggestions. I bought the GPS unit on Amazon so it didn't come with a mount applicable for MX so I purchased industrial strength velcro to use which I think is the same as LitPro provides.
LitPro recommends mounting the device on your helmet or on the front fender. I would prefer the front fender but I have a KX250f so the front fender seems to be out with the triangle ridge in front of the front number plate. I put it on my Shoei helmet to try it out but a) it doesn't feel that secure and b) It looks and feels kind of weird.
Anyone find a solid mounting place or solution? Can you put it somewhere less visible or will that effect the transmitting (wouldn't think so).
Thanks for the help.

I mount it under the handlebars on top of the top triple clamp. No issues so far.
I got the 3M tape lit Pro uses and mounted it to my helmet

On my Honda I stick it to my upper triple clamp/under bar pad in front of the bars. Very safe and secure.

Do you have photos of how it mounts?
Looks cool for sure!
I would like to have a look at some of the track overlays they have like that but I'm not sure if it's something that you can just go in and look at if you have a subscription or if you have to have ridden at the track to access or view them. It'd be a great help for some projects I'm working on and I'll buy a subscription if it's possible.
Have you looked at google earth for track views?

I’m curious how some of you users are using the tools and analytics to improve your riding? Which tools, views and settings you use and why?
I'm a long time Android user and find it hard to believe that LitPro doesn't have any android support. Current market share for iOS is 25%. It seems crazy that a business would create software that only works for 1 out of 4 users. I guess I'm going to have to buy a used iPad to take to the track. I definitely don't want to pay for a data plan for the iPad, so I hope I can hot spot the iPad off my Android phone.
Obviously, line choice is great. I have been pretty surprised by what lines are faster at multiple tracks.
But I also like to ride consistent laps, so that score, plus seeing the overall range is nice. I have found that trying to ride *perfect* laps instead of *fast* laps, so, riding smooth, hitting all my marks, but not trying tooo hard, is the fastest and most consistent.
kdiringer - Did you have problems with it mounted in front of the fuel tank?
