RV should excel and could be on the podium as it's a US style track, it'll be a endless follow the leader event after they get strung out into the race. Good thing it's the lead off GP race as it is pretty much a useless disgrace to what a GP should be, get it over with and get the riders back to solid European GP tracks.

There was some pretty good racing last year at Qatar.. the first MX2 moto was fantastic, MXGP was good too! I think it's a pretty cool track and something different...wouldn't want it every week though.

I wouldn't say it's neutral. A good number of the tracks there have been raced by the GP regulars for some time now. But I get what you're saying about the psychological advantage of a home track.

The Qatar race looked, to me on the vid, to a pretty mild pace... that said the rocky, chalky dirt produced a wonderful array of square edged holes. In other words yikes! If RV does win I can see it wouldn't count for much other the points of course...

The only problem with that line of thinking is that Villopoto simply does not care. 100% honey badger. If anything he's done even better at the 4 MXdNs he has won. He seems to excel in pressure situations where he faces adversity.

They have faced him before at the Motocross of Nations.he won 18 of 24 motos in 2013 in the Nationals so well he may have a very strong season over there I don't think he will tarnish anyone's reputation.everyone knows he's a badass. Except that Ryan 37 character.

Oh no, I wasn't saying it's something that will work against RV. Plus, he's got like four times the amount of practice on these tracks than he's used. Considering who RV is, it won't be a disadvantage.
