Not surprised, 450 class stacked. Biggest surprise this year so far is Blose, that kid is hauling ass. Oh yea, grant winning first race.

The LCQs are going to be some of the best entertainment all year long.

.
They should take one rider less from the heats & 2 more from the LCQ.

with how short the lap times are, it would be nice to go back to 2 heats and then the last chance.

4 from each

For as fast as everyone is. I am blown away at the fastest guys I have seen ride in person that still dont make the Main. The top 20 is just THAT much faster. I wish I could be in the top 1000. Those guys look like they are having a blast.

As talented as those established guys are, maybe the guys in front of them are as talented, if not more.

J-Law's seem to be mistake driven, but it may be the case with Wey and Preston (who I guess is recovering from injury) are just getting beaten.

With the current qualifying procedure and short race length there is little room for errors. Fall down or get stuck behind someone who fell and your not going to catch up. To make the big show you need to get a good start and stay out of trouble.

I would love to see the Heats, Semi & LCQ qualifying system come back.

5 from the heats, 4 from the semi's, 2 from the lcq.

What was the bullshit reason for scrapping this again?

To much track prep or something?

If thats the case, run longer heats. Cream cannot rise to the top in 8 minutes.

AGREED.

How the fuck does getting a 9th out of 20 put you straight in to the show?

Think about it. How many 9th place riders get to kiss a trophy girl? Answer is none.

Is 9th in a heat absolutley a huge achievement? Hell yes. But in context it is fair to say it is undeserving of a trip to the main.

More racing means more winners. More winners means better exposure for sponsors, means more sponsored riders and more fun for fans. And a better likelihood that bad luck or good luck doesn't become too much of a factor in SX.

it's definitely evolved, but they've been doing the intros for a while now.

I really liked it when there was more practice and qualifiers during the day. It was fun to spend the whole day at the stadium and go to the pits.

Now, I don't bother with the pits. I'll go to watch practice, but it's a long afternoon between practice and the night show.

I agree with atleast modifying the qualifying to take 4 from the LCQ.

i agree, i used to go around noon to practice and daytime qualifying. We would spend all day moving around the track to find new angles to watch from.... and then proceed to the pits. Now we watch practice... leave the stadium and go grab a bite to eat (hooters) and then come back for second practice... proceed into the pits when everybody leaves and then go watch the night show. My has it changed

I agree. I questioned that choice when he was announced as Stewart's teammate.

Dont really think thats the issue. Ramsey was Reeds buddy, and Chiz is Stewies buddy. Chisolm just isnt as good as Ramsey.

Kyle is in his first year on a 450 in SX. Just give him some time and he'll do just fine

And wait till you see him ride that thing outdoors.

Kyle is one of the best kids in the pits. Well spoken, considerate, and has a great family behind him. JBS might have helped him get onto L&M, but he'll soon be showing that he deserves to be there.

The last I talked to Kyle, he was planning to ride outdoors. Even if L&M does not, Kyle will still have some options with the Blue 450.

Things might have changed a bit, but MX has always been where Kyle shines.

I agree he is better outdoors. but to say is he is on that L&M bike for any reason other then Stewart, is well honestly, a joke.

he didnt get signed to a factory supercross team because of his outdoor skills.

Once again, I acknowledge that Kyle's life long friendship with the Stewart's certainly helped Kyle to get the ride with L&M. But, to say that the only reason he is there is because of JBS is disingenuous. L&M and Yamaha both had to have seen the ability level and potential in Kyle to warrant the hiring.

You appear to be friends with him, so that has problem given you a bit of a jaded view. Im not saying he is a goon, or doesnt deserve a ride, or anything like that. Im simply stating, he is in a very lucky position, because of friendships

And I agree with you on that statement. I don't think that anyone would disagree the Kyle is very fortunate to have been friends with James since they were children and vice versa. Those from FL will recall many, many times when the Chisholm family made sure that JBS got to races.

And yes, I've been fortunate to know Kyle and his family for several years now. Fantastic people all around.

Hey, politics is involved in every aspect of life. SX is no different. Can't blame the guy for having connections.

He is good enough to make the main every race.
IDK whats wrong with him this year.
Maybe he just has adapted to the 450 so well yet, and he has been on Kawi's as long as I can remember.
Do hope he starts doing better tho.

If they keep qualifying as it is, they should take the top 8 in the heats and take 4 out of the LCQ AND make the LCQ a 6 lapper in both classes. 3 laps is just ridiculous.
