Im sure there will be plenty of far fetched arguments chiming in though.
and at the end of the day..... i don't think most are overpaid...... win, lose, whatever.... pro riders are simply marketing material to sell more bikes/gear/googles/whatever.... if they are getting paid 80k a year, but help sell 200k in bikes, the rider was a good investment... if they spend half the year sitting at home or in jail, bike/gear/google sales will suffer, so perhaps those riders aren't such a good investment....
good feature Matthes.... can't wait to see more of them....

I expect like everyone the guys live in their own particular little world, that goes for riders as well as fans. Maybe mechanics get the worst of both.
Re: teams breaking contracts, any rider that doesn't have a provision in his contract providing that the prevailing party in an action to enforce the contract recovers attorney fees and costs has rocks in his head. Any agent that would allow his rider to enter into such a contract is incompetent.
It must be a bitch to have a house on either coast. People, if you pay over 50% in taxes, your CPA sucks dick
I'd say it's Milsaps but that's just a guess.
500guy- If you read on, I think you'd realize it wasn't Millsaps. lol...
Congrats!
I think if a person went and made a list of all the riders he mentioned we could narrow it down.
Pit Row
I think that rider might be too concerned with a FEW internet clowns who for some reason or another feel the need to take shots at the riders.
Bummer
I went back and read it all, I do think it was a little bitchy but RiderX has some valid points about risks and expenses.
Sorry to say, but, BS. There would be another guy that would take his place. May not be as fast... but it's a trickle down effect. Speed is relative to the guy you're racing.
How about where would this guy be if he didn't race MX or be connected to a job in the industry?
Before the pro's go reading this, I am in no way shape or form saying you don't deserve what you're getting.. or am taking your talent for granted. Just remember there is no "I" in team.
Amusing. Specially coming from some of these people who wouldn't have an income anymore, if it wasn't for the Internet and the hardcore fans who frequent the forums.
Some of these people are lucky there are not in pro football, the MLB, International soccer or Nascar.
Marketing in mx sucks, that's it,nothing more to it. Most sports are promoted by the sanctioning body. MLB, NBA, the NFL market thier players. Whether it's a jersey on a web site or whatever. Mx doesn't have that. You can go to Wal Mart and buy NFL jerseys. Where can you go to buy a Ivan Tedesco jersey?? Until mx sees that they are all in this together, it will continue. There is no group in mx that looks out for all riders, it's basically a few guys at the top, who don't see the problem. So the rest try and get as much as you can because your time in this sport is short.
All athletes should get as much money as they can!!
I think rider x would be suprised how much a family spends on a kid to try and help him become a professional baseball player..
Good piece though
Nope, but there is an "I" in win!!!
