I just talked to Chris yesterday, he's a good guy, known him for years. That was the CMC Golden State Nationals @ Carlsbad, those mini kids hauled mail for sure. Steve Evans and Broc someone I think were the announcers, that was a Diamond P televised event.

Went down to Carlsbad a few weeks ago... it's sad to see what has become of the place. But thanks to YouTube, we can all be kids again. The talent was really deep back then in the 80cc class... I wonder if they made it LOL.

Dumb question, but anyone remember Willie Bowden. Raced a CR80 at Carlsbad '88.

After I read what you posted, you had me curious, so I called Marc yesterday and he'll be starting on the "Replica" Carlsbad track in the next couple weeks. He's pulled all the track maps, just trying to figure out the angles and the dangles of width and length of each section. Should be pretty good when he's all done, for the record, Marc's dad, Stu built Carlsbad's motocross track, so least he can pick the brain of the man who built it.
