That said I'd be surprised if he has desire or heart to run with the young dogs outdoors near the front of the pack (and do so consistently). Top 10s sure, maybe a top 5 or two. Maybe if conditions are right a podium or even a win.

I can see that. He's already said this was likely his last outdoor year and 16' will likely be his last SX. It's not hard to imagine him doing a farewell tour at some of the better rounds. Red Bud, Millville, Budds, Utah (err... scratch the last one).

I thought this too when I first read it but maybe he just meant the workload. Only time will tell as far as that goes but I think we've seen the last of CR22 on a green bike.

Think about himself and lighten the load. I just don't get where having the 2nd rider is of any benefit for Chad unless the rider is on the podium consistently

Wrong, so wrong. That post has nothing to do with JG Imo. And this marks the first time I've been dubbed a Reed hater! The dude has been my favorite rider since he arrived here in the states. Much respect and the reason I started this thread is because I'm bummed he's skipping the Nats.
