Reed just put up on Instagram that he has re signed with Yamaha and that he has a team mate, had to read the comments and see that it was Webb. Sounds like a good pair to me!...

Don't think its going to be good for Reed. I see him being outperformed week in and week out by the younger team mate. I think it'll be the beginning of the end. I hope I am proved wrong though

It's already the beginning of the end. He's had his career and an amazing one at that. He has nothing to prove at this point.

Will be a good team. I bet there isn't many people out there what can set up a bike like reed can.

I highly doubt that's going to bother him. He knows he's on the way out and can't ride forever. If anything it will be a learning experience for both of them. Reed is full of knowledge and Webb I'm sure can show reed a few things.

Coop all by himself in the factory truck outdoors then?

For Reed it will be like looking into a time warp mirror. Similar personalities at Coopers young age.

is Reed being groomed for Team manager role at Yamaha?
Is Keith McCarty still in charge, he must be 100 by now!

He is as of now unless they add another rider. Seems weird that yamaha wouldnt want another rider esp for outdoors and seeing how theres a lot of riders contracts that are up at the end of the year.

Give it time. I'm betting a third rider comes on later after the nationals. My guess is Yamaha is finding the right guy for a cheap price.

I like it! Reed has a ton of knowledge to share with the kid. Hopefully they vibe well off eachother and we see some cool shit, and badass riding.

Webb is new to the 450 class. Very rare you see 250 rider come out swinging in 450 class. It's a different ballgame. Think Baggett etc.
I can't wait to see how Webb does on the 450 though but my guess is Reed is better.

Yeah, there may not be enough room for EZ-Ups behind the truck at the nationals next year.

I think Webb showed he has good pace on the 450 last year in his GP and Des Nations ride. Now, can he maintain that pace for an entire 450 indoor and outdoor season. Time will tell.

Agree with Camp here. If Webb is smart he will learn from Reed. Reed has a ton of knowledge that can help Webb for the future. I also think Webb can help Reed as well with a riding partner during the week. It will make both faster!

I say of course Reed will be mostly outperformed by Webb. If not, THAT would be a problem. I don't think, in much of any way, Reeds role is to outperform Webb. It's to pass on experience, bike set up, solid top 10's and always a potential podium threat in the right circumstances.

bagett comparison is a bit of a slight..

Imo Webb is more of a prospect then Bagett ever was

I think it's a good move for Yamaha. Two solid top ten/5 riders will be good exposure for the team and sponsors. Either one can win on any given day. Should be fun for us fans!
