Where will he place?

I think with his talent, on the bike he loves, and presuming he is fit again, he can and will top 5 or podium. but if he gets a bad start he will be shocked at the depth... any of the top 16 can top five this year.

Also British Championship leader Brad Anderson will be riding as well third place runner in the UK Martin Barr , both granted wild card rides, Anderson will be wanting to beat Shaun Simpson for the MXDN team and will want to see how he stacks up against 2010 British Champ, Bobreyshev. While Barr showed top ten speed at the Dutch GP but struggled in France.

Ken De Dycker won both races last year and is back on form, While Bobreyshev got second overall last weekend and might be ready to take his first GP win.

Add in Max Nagl at his home GP, Clemant Desalle with an injured shoulder battling Frossard and Cairoli for the World title, and MX1 will be epic!!

MX2 will be the Ken Roczen show on and off the track... I think the crowd will be loud and huge.. will Ken cope under the pressue and go 1-1 for the first time at the German GP in what may be his last race in his home country for a while?! Probably.

Herlings has already said he doesn't like the track, but maybe he is playing mind games. Searle and Osborne need a good race while Paulin, Van Horebeck and Tonus are all riding really well.

Can't wait for this GP so many subplots along with the usual championship stories!

Here or there, I don't think anyone has questioned his speed, but I can't see how his fitness would be significantly better at this point than when he rode off at Texas. He's got to ride himself into shape, right? Granted, it shouldn't be as hot, but as you've mentioned, he's got a lot more riding to put in over the weekend and I could see the same sort of scenario play out there that played out at Hangtown and Freestone: run up front early and roll to the back.

You might be right, but i'm thinking positive on this one, and presuming that he has been training the last six weeks, combined with arm pump surgery and back on a bike he knows should all alleviate the fitness problem.

I will be very surprised if he pulls of like he did at Freestone, I think that was to do with the bike a lot as well. I have never known CP to pull out of a race before, so I don't just think it was soley fitness but a combination of bike arm pump amd maybe some fitness. Reed never even rode a 30 minute moto before Hangtown and won there, I struggle to see CP being so unfit he can only ride for 15 minutes..

I hope I'm right anway as I would love to see him renew battle with AC this weekend, I was in Germany in 2007 to watch them go head to head in MX2, I think AC won but they both checked out from Ratttay by a large margin such was their pace.

Mccread posts like this seem a bit pointless to me, I don't think anyone here really cares to be honest. I know you're trying to drum up some interest in the GP's but all it does is stir up the hornets nest.

Well....that's not true about all the Americans. I hope CP does well this next weekend. I wish he was still here in the states , but things didn't work out for him , so I wish him luck where ever he decides to go. I don't follow the GP's as much as I should , but about all we can do over here is just follow the stuff on the internet.....nothing about the GP's on TV here that I have seen on Comcast cable. I have a hard enough time trying to keep up with our nationals here........since they show it on like 4 different channels and so forth........gets confusing at times.

I for one care what's happening at the GPs. And mccread post had a lot more content than yours. If you don't care, don't open the thread, and don't bother posting. Simple as that.

Thats why they invented mx-life.net, so anyone can log in to watch two days of GP racing, whenever they like, for less than a cost of a beer. Thats if they feel inclined to of course...

I know you're enthusiastic about the World Champs Jeffro, there are a few of you on here at least, which is nice to see! Smile

I know you do mjskier, don't worry I do notice the guys that do! You shine out like flashing beacons believe me Grinning

I admire Mccread for taking the time to write all these long posts, and I know he tries to add a bit of positive GP spin and info to try and educate the neysayers. But it often seems to me as though it just washes over most people who aren't really that interested and often just become the place for the trolls to take a dump.

Its a bit like pissing into the wind. I dunno, maybe Im just slowly losing patience with place Smile

It's all good. I didn't pay attention to the fact that you were in GBR so I obviously misread your intent.

I don't care where he finishes as long as we get at least a few laps of this going on:

Hummm, tricky. Pourcel isn't easy to predict at the best of times, and he gives so little away in interviews etc. I would say that he won't have great fitness and a lack of seat time with the Kawi and just racing really, is bound to hurt. There are worse tracks to choose than Germany to make a return and I believe I'm right in saying that CP won against Cairoli there in 2007.

But anyway I'll go with.....

1st moto - Top 15 start, rides tight, works his way up to 11th.
2nd moto - Starts great, shows top 3 speed, runs up front but then fades back to 7th after 24 mins.
