For ANY of you naysayers, non believers or people worried about the track. This track is awesome. I just got home from the crossover race in which I was able to burn some laps and I will tell you right now from my experience on most the national tracks, this track is right on par with the best of them.
Top notch,
We will see some GREAT racing tomorrow.

I wish I would have ridden the media class, the track looked like a blast.
Good seeing you today.

The Shop
Will be a good finale for sure.
I guess it is way more interesting to bash, be negative, jump to conclusions and just talk crap before you really know anything.
I remember a few months ago and all the negativity and smack talk. I guess first hand knowledge, riders stating facts and the powers that control the outdoors proving it could be done is just not as interesting as big boy smack posts from behind a keyboard!
and yes, I know the vocal "minority" will have eagle eyes out for anything negative.
Its going be an awesome finale!
Canard - Pala.
Dungey - Pala. He also mentioned that we haven't raced here yet, and that he always considered GH to be a man's track.
Pourcel - Pala.
Rattray - About the same.
Fiolek - Pala.
I also saw a tweet from Short saying that he preferred the track here.
That's all from a very dusty practice session, and they've been doing a lot more watering today.
It'll be interesting to see how the spectators like it. The track is long and thin, and they've put in an amazing amount of work on it.
I have seen a few reviews of the track, as far as how "the track" is, but how about an honest opinion on the facilitys for the public.
But you're right, people ought to give new things a chance and the people running things the benefit of the doubt if they have any track record at all of trying to do the right thing and more often than not pull it off. That's not the culture of the boards; short term memory, cynicism and tin-foil-hat conspiracy stuff is.
after the changes did it look like there would be lines to pass? The issues I saw was that the main line would get hard packed and the outsides/insides would be soft. When a rider tried to get off the main line, he would sit and spin in the soft losing time.
The Pala track has always been a great practice track, but was suspect on actual racing do to the facts stated.
Your opinion?
I don't think that makes it better for the customers, however. That said, all moto is good, so looking forward to the finale.
Pit Row
People all talkin' on how to elevate the sport, help the cause...........how about this.
Go to the National when the National comes to town.
Yeah, it's hot, yeah it's crowded, there might even be some dust to keep the
light weights away.
But that all goes with moto.
Plus, you'll always be able to say "I was at the first one when...................."
Socalonites pack yer coolers and get on the road to Pala.
Last weekend!
Here's one of the drop offs at the back of the track
My first impression is it is kind of a mix between Carlsbad and Saddleback, except for way bigger jumps.
The place looks outstanding.
I did go to the GP, it was badass. If you didn't then you have no clue.
Could be wrong though, haven't seen it in person yet.
Good job to Oulette and Chandler on the hard work and on delivering on their promises.
