Its intresting whats possible using an over 20 year old engine- i m curious when they have something in production so i m able to buy it.
Fantic really pushes things forward with their 2stroke developments

I agree with most everything you wrote there, Especially points about Jan van Witteveen. The man's an absolute Genius.

But, the Gilera Twins Thing.

In the later era where Twin Cylinders were still allowed in 125 Road Racing ( that were themselves a result of changed rules, where, in the 60s, there were Works Yamaha V4 125s, Square [and V] 4 125 Suzukis, 5 Cylinder Honda 4t 125s, up against twins), Gilera did dominate a fair bit, but the twins were 'banned' because the rules were changed to Single Cylinders Only .

I always felt that the Singles rule, was, as ever, heavily influenced by Honda, so as their singles, could get a look in. Jan van Witteveen, and others, proved to be a bit of a challenge for them with that rule.

Interesting! Looks like the injector is aimed at the area right behind the reed valves. Probably a good place to achieve fast mixing of the fuel and the air in the crankcase.

Yup, not good for emissions but good for low end bark compared to TPI.

How does/would it compare to current Beta 300 2T with electric start, fuel injection, AND auto gas/oil premix?
