Well if MXSports own figures for the largest national (Red Bud) are anything to go by (22,000) Id reckon 30 to 35 maybe not 50 though

I think the Numbers are widely not reported correctly.

Mr Newspaper guy yes we had 80 K people

Mr Uncle Sam no sir we lost our ass only had 15K show up.

I could be wrong but with such a large cash customer a guy would be a fool to report it all.

Does anyone think the event could sell out or anything? My wife and I are leaving Friday morning to arrive in Denver around 3pm. We are just gonna show up and hope there arent any problems with tickets or parking. Anyone know anything I should know before leaving home?

I remember them saying it was something like 80K but that was for both days. Budd's Creek was pretty damn packed from what I remember.

Never thought of it selling out although it is bound by rout 470 to the east, 70 to the north, dinosaur park(Mountain range) to the west and mountains to the south and a dash of forest fire to the north west.

Never seen a National or MXoN sell out, Think they would stack us up on the mountain before they stop taking green-backs.

You get a T-shirt, hat, program, food both sat and sun, and some beverages, pit pass, rider meet and greet, and parking. I think thats it for my package...you can get tent seating for a bit more I think.

From you subsequent posts, I assume you have purchased tickets in advance. One cannot predict the final tally; however, it is safe to assume that the attendance will be significantly increased relative to the best-attended nationals. I strongly recommend taking care of the admission tickets and parking fees well in advance via http://www.redbullmxon.com. I would take care of camping/hotel reservations ahead of time as well. I'm sure you could find something last-minute, but the peace of mind is well worth the effort and advanced reservations often allow for a modest discount.
Go everyone! I'm an American, so I'm pulling for team USA, but I am stoked to see Cairoli, Musquin, Desalle, Ramon, etc... See you there.

Sounds about right. There was something like 90k at Matterly Basin back in 06. Did have a larger European presence than a US race though. It was also Evert's last race ever kind of like Carmichael in 07.

Here's some photo's from the crowd at Franciacorta, Italy 2009. Big hand for the promoters. I can't fathom the amount of trash cleanup that's going to be left behind after the race.

It was reported to be 80k at Matterly... but I think the actual figures were more around 40k or less. Most fans came to see the Carmichael/Everts showdown that didn't materialise.

Matterley was approx 38,000 on the DC scale, (Davey Coombs acurate crowd gestimate) when we were stood talking during the racing.

Will Denver match Budds Creek??? It's more central but isn't the N. East a moto hotbed?

Wait if Pala had 30,000 then Lakewood should draw 50,000 to 70,000.

I seriously hope it's closer to 30,000. Either way I'll be there at 4-5am to try and beat some of the crazy crowd.
