Genova here. Just wanted to take a moment to express how proud I am of my guys this year.

As a team we were the top non factory supported team in both SX and MX, finishing week in week out ahead of the so called big boys.

Our little team consisting of the Hot Tub Guy and the Mini Bike Dad put together a bike, plan, strategy and more that was able to not only compete but every week beat the best factory efforts the world had to offer.

So many people said we couldn't and wouldnt be able to do it, but WE DID!

This is not about bragging, this is to publicly give credit to my guys for putting a bike on the track that never, NEVER boke. A bike that was able to rip more holeshots than any other bike and our rider who NEVER crashed or faltered.

Yes Mike got beat by Ryan almost every race, but to lose to a machine like Ryan and only Ryan, is no small feat, as that guy and his program are simply amazing.

With that said and I could say a lot more, Congrats from me to Mike and my guys for doing what most everybody said couldn't be done.

While I may not agree with all things going on with your team, you guys did do a great job this year. Mike had an awesome bike and it seemed to work well with him. Congrats to you guys for doing way better than most thought was possible and for doing it on your own.

Congrats to Mike and your team. Any response the the questions about why you keep Friese on the team?

To come second in arguably the toughest MX series in the world is a phenomenal achievement for a non factory team & rider.
I don't want to sound like an a-hole, I thought that Mike DNF a moto at Unadilla because of a bike problem?
All involved should be very proud of their accomplishments & Mike gave the 450 class some major excitement.

You guys did great this year. Hope you come back even stronger next year. You deserve factory support from a factory that will appreciate the team.

I thought I remembered a rock or something took out the radiator and it overheated. That wasn't anything like all of the DNF's Tickle had with his Pro Circuit 450....

Great job, Mike Alessi and MCR!

Yeah excellent work this season! Made the whole 450 season a lot more interesting. Without Mcr it would have been boring.
Hats of!

By the way, to the next year. can't u guys hire a designer to work with the looks of your bikes? Not to be rude, but they aren't the prettiest ones in the pit.

+1. Super pumped for Mike.

You could have done better on the thread title though if this was meant to give kudos to him and the guys.

Well done this year. Although, I would double down during the off season since there will be 5 or so more guys next year with speed. Also, I hope you use this success to get a better 2nd. You obviously have a program that can run up front. There is no need to have a guy who only gains you negative publicity.

Congratulations. You guys put it out there.

Also, Tony and Mike invited my sons to ride with them a while back in Florida. They expected nothing and couldn't have been nicer to my kids.

Thank you.

I applaud MCR for changing the game. Hopefully other people with the money join the professional level, knowing it's possible. The same thing cane be said for Hart & Huntington. Kudos to both teams.

Your team did an awesome job, Shame that US Suzuki won't offer support, do they have a chip on their shoulder or something?

Somethings screwed up at that place if they wont help the top finishing rider on their brand.

These guys did a hell of a job this year. It should not matter if you like them or not. The Mike Alessi of 2012 is not the Mike Alessi of 2005. You can not sit and say that he only did that good because everyone was hurt. You have to be in it to win it. Mike was in it all year, something that 5 of the big 5 can not say. He gained major confidence and even some speed as he was way closer to Dungey at the end of the year. This all coming from a guy that is a HUGE RD5 fan. I mean look where I am from for christ sakes....

Mike had arguably the best year of his career, and Jake also had a breakout year under your program I think you definitely proved that you have what it take to run a championship caliber team so huge congrats on that.

That being said, what the are you thinking with Vince Freise? Yeah he had a solid SX season but, you could do way better..
For 2013 sign: Weston Pieck, Bobby Kinery, Cole Thompson, Alex Martin, Phil Nicolettie, PJ Larson, Matt Lemoine, Mike Lieb ect... There are a lot of guys out there in the free to extremely cheap price range that would do a lot more for you team that Friese!

Maybe Freise is cheaper than free?
