I was at the race and saw it right in front of me. Barcia didn't technically head butt him. He just jerked his head toward him like he was going to then left.

Oh no, he made contact. You must have been on the side Weimer was on, because from my angle it was pretty clear. Barcia was pissed, looked like he tried to clean Jake out on the track, then he waited for him in front of the tunnel. When Jake pulled up, Justin started tearing into him, and left off with a head butt. He pulled back on it, but still made contact.

You're probably right. I definitely saw Barcia trying to take Weimer out the last 2 laps. When they pulled off the track I saw Barcia go in with the head butt, but thought he pulled back in time. Either way very unprofessional of him.

did they wear helmets when he gave him a head butt (if he did so)? not that it takes away from the bad sportsmanship but it surely does from a injury point of things. not sure what's going on with barcia but that's not how he should handle things!

Ex factory rider? His contract with jgr is through 2018 so i dont think hes going go a ex factory rider anytime soon. He has been making poor decisions out there, but he'll be a solid top 5 rider outdoors.

McGrath and Randy Lawrence did that for one race at the Las Vegas finale after he had already clinched, and they did it for fun and it was blue to promote Yamaha in '98. Quite a bit different than looking like a cave man starting shit with other riders on a regular basis while struggling to finish top 10. One of these seems to represent sponsors better than the other...

I legitimately cannot tell if you were trying to dig at double standards of McGrath or not, but I initially read your post as a dig at McGrath.

I saw it in person as well.

Weimer took a shot at Barcia as they took the right-hander after the finish line. He missed by a mile and ended up going way wide down the start straight. Then Barcia, who had space to get away, checked up in the next corner for the sole purpose of messing with Jake. It may have started before that and they continued bumping each other for the rest of the lap.

Barcia crossed the line first and then Weimer rode up to him for a discussion. Like Pete, I wouldn't call it a headbutt. It was goggle-to-goggle, like he was just getting in his face. Barcia rode away and Weimer spoke to two officials, though to me it looked like he was the instigator and threw plenty of his own elbows on the track.

thanks for the report. TV cameras just caught like one bump in the background I believe.

Anyway, sounds like a lot of frustration to me...
