Yup
Shift wasn't so nice on the new contract, from what I heard. I guess they didn't feel the ROI on Reed was worth what they were paying him.

Yeah it seems so. At least that was something that instantly popped into my head when i saw his 2 latest IG posts.


But i think this is a huge mistake from Shift. This is just my opinion but Shift was nothing, absolutely nothing before teaming up with Chad in 2011. Since 2011 they have skyrocketed.

Reed to what brand? I would like to see a reunion with Thor. Reed and Thor gear made me fall for both Reed as a rider and Thor as a gear company as a kid 10 years ago!

I'd like to see either Fly or TLD. Fly would be awesome because of how much they are into the sport. I really do love their brand. TLD would be cool because I think the creative collaborations could be pretty killer.

Although i would also like to see Alpinestars gear and boots.

Not the crazy one off designs they made for Tomac and Barcia a few years ago but the actual stuff they sell for the consumers.

That + a helmet deal.

is this a recent development and he's about to go gear shopping when everyone's budgets are all set and riders are signed?

I'm thinking most gear companies signed all their riders and no longer have "Reed Money" laying around.

Hmmm...maybe this is just a FOX/Shift marketing strategy moving Reed across from Shift to Fox? Yeah, that's what I'm guessing.

Couldn't agree more. I bought a set of shift gear a couple years ago because of the fact that Reeds gear was on point. All I wore at the time was Fly because of their contingency program at the local races. They were never on my radar before him.

Shift wouldnt be at the level theyre at right now if it wasnt for reed IMO. Like someone posted above, they were doing really doing much before reed and their gear didnt look good. Id like to see him in some Astar gear. Thor gear hasnt looked good for a few years now. They need to go back to their 05-08 stuff. Thor gear in those years was the best out IMO.
