Some areas have better racing but the removal of the uphill triple and the change to the start are huge downers.

Sick of the ruts! The track looked like a rail yard from above.

Y’all are complaining after the racing we had today? Both 450 motos were great. First 250 moto was good. Can’t comment on the second 250 moto as I just started to watch it. I really liked the track changes.

Absolutely the racing was good today. I am not giving any credit for that good racing to the removal of the big uphill triple, one of the track's signature obstacles and fan favorite.

Here's the reason it's gone, taken from a news article:

"First, NBC needed to shorten each televised lap in order to fit into their broadcasting timeline. Second, race officials thought a change in the track’s course would improve the race in case of rain.

The Shaver family along with a professional motocross track expert decided to do away with a triple jump that went up a steep hill"

i thought the track looked sick, the more they can make use of the hillside the better imo.

Best track change was the lack of rain.....

Great racing in both classes today. Feel for that guy who didn't bother to go....Whistling

Most tracks do, ruts are all part of it. If you don't like ruts you might need to find a new sport like road racing.

My perspectives from being there every year except 2018, I felt the start was safer, and the new Ironman Sky Scraper jump is one of the coolest jumps on the circuit. That jump is so cool I didn't even miss the old uphill triple.

The changes made it harder to move around as a spectator. And I miss the off-camber first turn. But it was great day of racing, perfect weather and racing.
