This has been one hell of a week or so. I bet he's just ready to delete every PED/ Tranny/ crazy thread he comes across. I bet the traffic is through the roof right now though so maybe he's enjoying it.

I'd buy that candle. I bet it smells awesome. But if I wanted that smell in my house I might just start my bike inside my house.

Although appealing to the senses, that can't be healthy to breathe. lol

Just start the bike in the house with the door closed. hahahaha

I bought a original last year, pretty mild, you can light it up in the house. I thought it would be strong for a garage or something. Still pretty cool

He's coming around to embracing two strokes (and their proponents) slowly but surely. Cool

And no doubt he needs a change and a big bottle of Advil, to deal with all the Stewart testing shenanigans in here.

It's obviously 10 year-old technology with new plastic stuck on it.

Call me when it has DI and all the other latest technology.

On the other hand, it 's cheaper and a lot lighter than a thumper candle, only cost 1/10th as much to hop up and and pipes are 1/5th as much. It'll also last a lot longer and is easier to work on.

Okay, I'm sold. Send me one.

Reformulated. Hmmm, I might give it one more try, but the first iteration was a disappointment. It smelled like something, but I wasn't really sure what.

If they could get the castor bean smell from 927 into that candle, I'll buy a whole truck load

I was trail riding on my KTM 300 and this guys who is obviously faster than me is on my tail but won't pass,so I pull over and he stops and we chat for awhile,I asked why he didn't pass me and he tells me " I was loving the smell of your two stroke"He used to race two strokes back in the day.
This product is for that guy,If I ever see him again I am going to tell him about it.

Well, a lot of people say they were lured into buying a 2-stroke by the smell. Smile

The only smell that comes close to castor and good gas is nitrate dope on silkspan. I know I dated myself with that one.

I bought one of the new reformulated ones and was not impressed. I figured I'd lost out and the original ones were better. Apparently not. You have to get right over the thing and close to smell anything. They're not nearly strong enough in my opinion. But the smell is nice and reminiscent of a two stroke.

Well, that does sound like improvement at least. I got up close to the original, and tried with all my might, but it didn't resemble any authentic smoker smell at all. I've smelled plenty of gas and oil combos in my time, and the original candle didn't faithfully replicate any of them.

Bean oil always smelled so good. Four stroke race gas gives me a headache and nausea. No joke...it stinks.

Hmm, we have an oil burning garden lamp which is like a giant candle. The oil in it has cintronella to keep bugs away or something. Now if I swap that with Castrol R we might be getting somewhere! Do you think my wife will notice?

I have tried to explain that to smell to people and I get the blank stare alot. I built many a model in the 70's and 80's with butyrate and nitrate dope and tissue or silkspan. That smell and an .049 on nitro and beanol turning 24,000 RPM's for 4 seconds is a life memory. If my memory lasts... I think that nitrate may have killed a few cells in an unventilated garage back before the EPA took away all the fun stuff..

She'll not only notice, it'll be great. Didn't you hear, Castrol R is an aphrodisiac! Light some up, get busy all night with the missus.

Go ahead and do it, you can thank me later! Laughing

Oh yeah, the nitro and model airplane engines to! Shame on me for leaving that out. Sounds like we grew up pretty similarly. I think my 2014 yz250f is about the slickest bike I've ever ridden, but I still have, and love to ride, my 125 and 250 smokers. I'll never not have a smoker or two.
