Just saw his instagram post that said he's going to be announcing his SX plans within the next week or so. Any ideas as to what his plans are? It'll be cool to see how he does from such a long layoff and doing things his own way.

I thought he was doing his own deal because he didn't like having to answer to "the man"?

You appear to be correct. That's what it looks like. He has his own name with some other guys that go by the name "the viewing". Dunno much about it. I'm no insider lol.

I don't like answering to the man, but I hate not having $$$ even more. Real world is going to suck one day.

Should have went out and bought a couple RMZ 250's. If he could stay healthy he would grab some headlines for Suzuki on the West coast. Good luck to him and hope he has some fun.

He should pick a random 3 digit number, claim it as his own, feign an argument with the AMA over the use of said number, and go race Arenacross in Great Britain. You know, really stick it to the man.

I hope he does well. I feel that his time may have passed after losing out on the TLD ride...

That's a good idea. Are you sure there isn't a patent on that move? Can't believe nobody has thought about that before.

im a fan of the viewing, his hills riding, style...the punk rock attitude,..but come on man, this is just an easy way out of the professional ranks without looking like you didn't make it....

he has opportunities, plenty, injuries played a big roll but still, if its meant to be, you make it happen. " if theres a will, theres a way" right?

i hope I'm completely wrong and shit, lets see him go out and win the east coast 250f as a privateer. now that would be the tits.

I agree. Couldnt of said it better myseld. I'll probably get reemed on here by others for saying this, but oh well. Like others have said here he has had injuries play a toll. But he hasn't always but himself in the best situation either.

He doesn't want to answer to the man. Aka he isn't getting any offers from teams so he's trying to sound like its his choice to go privateer. Guarantee he would take a factory ride tomorrow if offered

I love when guys come on Vital, on their 100th account, and have all the answers for everyone. What the hell is it to you if he wants to do things a little different, I say more power to him for recognizing that and doing what he feels is right for him.

I can't be the only one around here sick of the Internet hard asses trying to stay relevant, its getting old fast.

I like Durham, too bad he's had some pretty crappy luck. I hope he does well, and that's a cool little set up he has.

I agree with you about personalities here Vital. But there is some validity to their points though. My thoughts when seeing a privateer driving all over the country to the races... When are they supposed to train? To actually win in this sport each and every day has to be calculated right? When you are spending M-F driving, ain't nobody got time for training! Your chances for any success certainly dwindle (especially considering where he was 2 years ago).

I know nothing about Daryn having attitude about working for anybody, I just think your chances of winning is right next to none if you can't train and are sitting on your ass driving all day every day. Maybe his measure of success is just living the dream and touring the country racing for fun and having it all paid for (albeit, with significantly less $ in his wallet).

Seems like a dude just trying to live the dream. I just hope, for his sake, he leans more towards the habits of Weston Peick and not Jason Anderson.

Uh, I meant Jason Lawrence. No further explanation necessary, right?

Jason Anderson? Like, the same Jason Anderson that's training with Aldon Baker and was pretty damn impressive at the MEC? Huh, I guess I don't see why that would be a bad thing.

That does not make sense to me. Get your ass back to your keyboard and let us know what in the fuck you mean!

I am sure he'd concede that he'd like the money and help "the man" brings. He's probably just trying to keep things positive and look on the brighter side of not having the ride - he can goof off and have fun, and that's when he was at his best in the Eleven 10 Mods days. He's trying to find his mojo, and sticking him in a mold wasn't helping. Or at least, that's what he'd like to think.

It's clearly make it or break it time. I hope for his sake he doesn't break it again or it could be time for a 9-5. He has pizzaz on a bike but shit gets real when you're doing it yourself in a Sprinter.

I wonder if the Rock River support stopped him from going completely Murdered Out black with the fenders?
