Picked this ‘19 450 SX-F up for my son.
We have owned all the Japanese brands with minimal issues. He rode his buddies 18.5 FE and loved it. Was able to sell some stuff and pick this one up from Magic Racing. Very pleased with the purchase experience.

Shobiz (Mike) is an awesome dude. I race RC's with him and his boy Ryder.
The Shop
If I were loaded I'd consider one with cone valves. But then again, If I were rich, I'd have ktm 51 barcias (or whatever it is) bike and be posting rolls of Scott on the daily.
Biggest setup issue I've seen is riders not realizing that the front wheel has to be off the ground when setting the air pressure.
Key to AER is realizing it’s an air spring. Find a pressure (spring rate) that works and stick with it. Use clickers for tuning. Personally love them for the bottoming resistance.
The clickers really respond. Can feel a single click change. Rebound has a big effect on this fork.
Air got a bad rep early on the Japanese models. Guys accept a mediocre set up not realizing it can be exceptional. They give up because it’s air. Personally I think stock the compression valving is too aggressive. During break in I was like 22, 24 out on comp with pretty low air. After revalve more in mid range.
T-Fish I agree man. I've had KYB and AER on the same bike. Folks need to calm down, its a great fork.
