I'm a doctor and I saw the impact. I also conveniently had an XRay machine posted right next to the track as well as a high-def, slow-mo camera. I can tell you that it was indeed the neck brace.

I managed to break mine many years ago racing long before they had neck braces if that means anything.

I stepped on the remnants of a crack pipe at a Holiday Inn Express once and I'm here to tell you it was the impact with Mother Earth that broke the shoulder blade.

I may instantly regret throwing my hat in this discussion (soon to be argument in no time) but I personally would feel pretty lucky if I only had collarbone issues. I would take collarbone repair over a chair any day. But that's just my opinion and in now way do I feel like everyone has to agree with me. (By the way, I don't mean any disrespect to the guys that are in chairs. I apologize in advance if I stepped on any toes.)

There`s a HUGE difference between those two injuries.

I definitely understand the difference in those injuries. I was insinuating that I would still take all of those injuries over a neck injury. I was not implying that all of those injuries are the same. Kongols, I respect whatever opinion you may have on the subject, rather I agree or not. Regardless, I'm bowing out of this one. Discussions don't seem to go over well when there are such polarizing opinions about any topic.

And how dare you make mention of anything Herlings related whether positive or negative. I once got thrown from the speeding Vital bus after complimenting the vintage ambulance that the young Mr. Herlings may have ridden in after his auto accident in Russia. You are on a slippery slope there Jay Jay.

Yes, and he wasn't even wearing it. He was sitting in the pits and the neckbrace walked over and Chuck Norris'd his shoulder blade. I saw it, and you have now read it on the internet, so that makes it fact.

Everyone knows that any time a bone is broken, it's the Leatt's fault. Even if you're not wearing one.

Where's Jiff Large at ? I don't trust any GP info without a direct link.

Seriously does Herlings even wear a neck brace ?

He wouldn't be in this situation if it was at a sand track.

Just as I suspected.

it looked like a nothing type of crash , in a turn , not fast, im surprised he broke anything , but thats how it goes sometimes.

Not a fan of neck braces... see a lot more vertebrae injuries over here than we ever used to .. not convinced that there are any less serious SCI than there used to be though.

Thinly veiled attempt to avoid being slaughtered by the Americans yet again at MXDN.

Last year was a fluke at a ringer of a track. They knew this year wouldn't be so easy. He took a dive.

I broke my shoulder blade into 6 pieces, my collar bone into 3 pieces and fractured my elbow all on one side, all at the same time. There was no brace, I still don't wear one.
