Track is looking kinda technical. Cunningham is the only 250f rider tripling through the rythm section after the finish line.

Pourcel crashed already and looked uncomfortable which means he'll probably come out and be a second faster than anyone in timed practice.

Triple before finish line jump has not come into play yet. The sand section before and short run-up almost dictates you roll the single inside and double to the finish line jump.

Dirt is hard and will blue groove big time.

Start straight corner funnels down quite a bit, so look for some contact there.

The three step-on-step-offs are giving the riders a hard time. Some are treating them like tabletops and tripling through that way.

Its only free practice so we'll see how they adjust.

I was really hoping this year's dirt would be different now that they are in the new Boss Hog Bowl. Arlington has some decent dirt....try down the road at Village Creek

Thanks David.

CP looked mad in his podium interview last week.
With that said...I'm sure he will be out for blood tonight. Wink

Track is kind of technical like mx365 said, and narrow. Not really flowing yet until these guys figure out the timing, and there's plenty of that to figure out.

Whoops are HUGE and not evenly spaced with a slow pop-up double at the end, so you better not be too far back on your seat with a hand full of throttle.

Durham was on it, looking real good.

2nd qualifier red flagged. Justin Berry went down on the double after the whoops and then Lipanovich ran over him.

Ok, lap times are dropping, the 450s are going to hit the 45 sec mark. This is ridiculous.

Sounds like when they built this mega dome they cut back on the floor space.

Which makes it harder and harder to pay for a ticket these days. Save your money and go to a National.

Pourcel looked like he was just cruising. Stroupe and Davalos were looking real smooth.

Lawrence was the first to bust out the double triple triple before the whoops. Everyone is catching on too it now

Looked ok, Scottie. Had most of the "A" sections down, but did struggle with consistent laps which is expected after moving up.

If a track is "technical" and lap times are about to dip into the 49s, what would we have gotten into with a rhythm track?...41s? GuyB gave me hell for suggesting a little track width and less wasted space. Does anybody see any track-building opportunities based on this photo?

Apologies to whomever I stole that from. It was in another thread, possibly in here, but I just dumped it on my desktop figuring I would bring it up with GuyB before the clocks even started.
