Hey guys,

Looking for a contact for someone at chapperal. Ordered a helmet for my birthday placed it the 16th 2nd day air and haven't heard a word about it since.

It was a shoei so it was pretty expensive and to 2nd day it was another 162.

I keep calling their customer service but i keep getting disconnected

Well, I left a message at 1:20ish havent heard from them but saw a slip was made and my helmet would be here by friday.

Really bummed at the lack of customer clarity/support they provided but still the coolest shop ive ever been to when in in California. A refund on the shipping would of been cool but beggars cant be choosers.

Remember, 2nd-day air is the method by which they ship TO YOU. If they don't have the product and have to order it from Shoei, that's the wait you have experienced.

Bingo.
I recently ordered a Troy Lee helmet froM AOMC and although it showed in stock it took them almost 2 weeks to get it from them and ship to me. It was best price on a hard to find color.
I'm not super pumped on that but alas it's par for the course these days.

Chap can be like that, sometimes it shows stuff in stock, but sometimes it's not the case.

I broke a KTM part at Glen Helen and their on line said "IN STOCK"

got to the shop on the way home from the track, and found out they didn't even stock the part.Sad

I had a similar issue, only way to get answers was to spend 50 minutes on hold waiting for a live representative. It turns out we have differing definitions of what "In Stock" means.

Sorry to hear. I had a similar experience and usps ended up losing the package. I called customer service and this guy reached out to me after via email and was super nice. mlowe@chaparralmotorsports.com Best of luck.

You'll have to call them right when they open and wait a bit to get through. That's what I do. They are always super busy. Their hours are Tuesday-Saturday 10-6 California time. But yeah sounds like they don't have it stock

never would have happened if you used Motorsport or rmatv. chap has shit customer service whereas Motorsport and rocky mountain are successful enough to employ a small army off full time workers whose job it is to help in these situations.

ive had generally great luck with AOMC, but thats been the common problem, a lot of stuff says in stock, but so much they sell is drop shipped. and if it is, roll the dice on when you get it.

if im in a hurry, i always call to see whats up/where its coming from...

Bad price, bad service, most employees are clueless....
And Management is clueless too, Management's service is poor and this is prob the reason sales reps service is poor.....sh_tty service flows down stream.

Not stepping 1 foot in Chap again.

Motosport dropped the ball a few times on my last order. First order never showed up, then the replacement order invoice had the wrong shipping address so I immediately emailed to let them know, then followed that with a phone call just to be sure. The next day they shipped it to the wrong address anyways, then shipped the next replacement order to the same wrong address again.

In the end they took care of me, but I miss the days when I would receive my order in 2 days pretty consistently.

chaparral has NEVER been known for good customer service since they moved from the big yellow building right at the off ramp , yes been going there since the 80's

Tell him Max Bertolero referred you. He has been insanely helpful and, even during Covid, always given me accurate delivery dates.

That’s funny, I used to go to the old Chaparral when it was on the other side of the freeway too. Back then they had crappy service, obsolete inventory and the employees were clueless but the prices were great! Since they charge full retail or more now, it’s not worth going there..
