He’s also fourth all-time in supercross wins, first in career podium percentage and for us, the sixth best supercross racer of all-time.

How does a guy that is 4th on the all time list of wins and the best percentages on the podium end up 6th. REALLY

Pretty sure he is talking abnout racerx's 30 day countdown list....Pretty sure he should be 4th on list but its gonna be----
1-McGrath
2-Carmichael
3-Stewart
4-Johnson
5-Hannah

Maybe cause Hannah has 3 titles to reeds 2 and not sure why reed would be behind Johnson? maybe cause they won back when there were only 10-12 races a year instead of the 17 they've had for 20 years now?? good question though

I agree he should be higher on that list. They're going to put Stewart above him which I don't agree with. The only two you can undeniably put above him are McGrath and Carmichael.

The thing that sticks out most to me on this list is RV2 being 8 spots ahead of RD5!

No....Bayle was a threat to win the championship more than 1 year and indeed won it it once. Bradshaw was a threat to win the championship only 1 year and never did win it. IMO, if you are talking about who had more raw speed at any given time and who was more fun to watch....Bradshaw takes it by a mile! I think Bradshaws consistency and longevity hurt him....although Bayle's longevity was comparable.

1-forty-8 wrote, "Shane King would of had Reedy covered indoors."..........yeah if it were held in an open stadium in the perfect storm somewhere like Amsterdam and Reedy spend the night before in an opium lounge!

I don't think ANYONE should take that list seriously, and from the comments here it doesn't look like you guys do. It's just something to fill in time.

Agreed. It's been said before, but it's true...

BEATING A DEAD HORSE!!!

Cap lock over and out.

I stopped taking it seriously when Henry was above Lusk. I know what Henry has been through, I know he's a bad man on a motorcycle, but he wasn't better than Lusk at supercross. No way.

I don't disagree with Reed 5th or 6th but Johnson and or Hannah should be above Stewart. It was a different time with less races and shorter careers but both were more successful than Stewart and Reed who I think are a tossup with maybe Stanton.

Right or wrong the perception of many is that Chad won his titles when the other top riders were injured. The riders that will be put ahead of him were more dominant.

any of those riders that went up against MC or RC would not have 1 title to there name either. Like in Surfing during Kelly slater's 11 world titles.

Did you mean Dungey? Dungey seems to win his titles and races in SX when others are hurt.

That's fine. I'm talking about Reed and the perception that he is a step below RC and Stewart.

Also by those rules Emig should be #2 on the list because he beat MC who is #1 on the list during MC's best years.

I will take a step below RC but not JS and you know me im a huge JS fan.

Reed is not a better sx rider then RJ and Hannah. He has more wins then them because like stated above, they raced in a time when there wasn't 105 supercross's a year.

There are no rules, lol. These lists are subjective. Reed ahead of Stewart is fine, but a case can also be made for Stewart being ahead of Reed. As far as Johnson and Hannah being ahead there you are comparing different eras. Hannah was head and shoulders the best for his time. So was Johnson. And before anyone mentions Ward or Bailey forget it. Johnson was better. There isn't a very strong case for Reed being clearly the best of his era. Just my opinion.

The battle for 3rd on down can go many different ways. But as far as SX goes.....

1.) MC
2.) RC

Both were way to dominant in their careers. And yeah....Reed and Stewart both beat RC quite a few times in SX......but RC always came away with just as many ( if not more ) wins......and he always took the title home at the end.

Call me old fashioned.......but I think just looking at the record books should be the ultimate answer. YES....they had shorter seasons( the older dudes )........but some could argue to the point that their career's "could" have been longer as well.

It's splitting hairs......and not everyone is going to agree.

WAIT........the END ALL , BE ALL would be for someone to calculate.......how many races did the person enter , to the length of his career........and give an overall % of where he finished.

THAT would be the answer to end ALL arguments. Win ratio / races competed in!
