Not sure if this has been posted yet but here it is. Sad story that he can't ride again.

This is what I have tried getting across in other threads. I feel so bad for this kid. He lost Lichtle which was like a big brother to him. If you don't have a little compassion for this kid then get your head checked!

If he takes "plan B" as serous as his riding and applies his passion to the new hobbie/career then I think he can improve a ton and actually be legit. Hes young and sounds like hes been through a lot.

Well damn.........i gotta say , I was probably one of the hardest critics / bashers on him ( on this site anyways ) so I'm serving myself up a huge plate of crow , and giving out a huge apology to Brandon personally. I don't wish that on anyone , especially another rider. I know when I see another video of his pop up , I'll try and keep an open mind from here on out. If I'm thinking negative , then I'll just keep it to myself. Good luck Brandon on your future with music. get yourself healed up and always ( can't stress this enough! ) get another doctors opinion!! You never know.....you may be able to keep doing the sport you love.

Nice way to ruin the thread...

Punk or not, no one should have to go through this. Except for people that deserve it, he did nothing to deserve it.

If you listen, his tone sounds like he is messing around when he says the comment you quoted.

This is why at times we shouldn't critic people before we actually know what they're going through.

I've been wondering where he has been. I knew he was at Houston but he kind of disappeared. Had no idea about the neck injury. Stay Strong BMayzee!

And yeah for the people who did hate on him, kind of makes you realize you shouldn't judge people unless you know them or what they have been through....

I wish him the best and agree with Jeffro that he should get a second opinion. I would get multiple opinions before going through with the surgery.

seemed pretty sincere to me. Sucks about his situation but common now, no need to bag on the other riders now!

You don't have to love the kid, but you can't help but have some compassion for his story and wish him the best. For as young as he is, he's accomplished alot and done things that 99% of us will never be capable of doing, it is pretty amazing. I have respect for those of you that have apologized for past statements about him too, your stand-up people. Good luck to Mays, and no doubt we'll hear more music coming down the pipeline from you.

I wish Brandon all the best in his future. We all know how motocross is the most addicting thing on the planet (for me it is) and how hard it would be to just stop completely and never be able to ride again. Atleast for me that would be the hardest thing to deal with in my life just like he said it was in his life. Hope all goes well with his upcoming surgeries or whatever is infront of him.

If you can't say something nice don't say anything at all applies here and most everywhere else in life.

Man, I always hate to hear about deals like this. We all love the sport and are willing to put some much into it, then from time to time it can all end so tragically. Back in 99 when I was riding on 80s, I broke C2 and C3, the disc between the vertebrae was decentigrated, and there was also a fracture in C5. After being in traction for a few days, they operated, fused C2 and C3 together, and put a plate and 4 screws in it. At that point, I didn't do much of anything for six months, and then started racing again. What makes me wonder is, a few years later I was back in the ER with a broken collarbone (and concussion). Why they did not think it was important to take a look at the trick part, they had installed a few years previous, scares me. But on the other hand, I haven't had really any problems with it. I've woken up and spent half a day with a stiff neck, but we all have those days, right?

Anyways, B-Mayzee aka Cheeseburglar, keep your head up dude. Believe it or not, there are people who have it worst, all you can do is your best.

the guy is rather funny!

But, what I wonder is why he can't race any more? I knwo loads of people who have had neck surgeries with fusions and screws and plates and they still race....I get the feeling this is a marketing ploy. Sorry, but I do. Call me out for it, but I think he will have surgery, sing about, rehab, and get back on the bike. I've seen too many people come back from neck surgeries, and worse (look at Weeks!) who never stopped riding!

tried watching that vid... I hear everything but him talking? anyone else have this problem?

Probably nerves between his vertebrae, I have a buddy with that as well.

Almost impossible to operate, and dangerous to ride with.

He has no pain from it, but it will paralyse him if he crashes on it.
