Is it ok to pressure wash this area underneath where the the gas tank sits? It's really dirty and I need to clean it before opening up the engine, but it looks like the area where all the wires are housed. I'm only using an electric pressure washer.
When you rebuild it and are doing reassembly hit all the connectors with dielectric grease
The Shop
We don't use it so I don't know, just what I've read.
Now Purple Power? that shit will mess your frame up REAL fast.
Wet the area to be cleaned then spray on the soap. Let it soak abit, agitate it and rinse.
If electrical connections are prone to water or moisture, grease them.
Simple Green will fade anodizing and dull the shine on most things it comes into contact with.
Purple Power, might as well use battery acid. The effects are similar.
Dawn dishwasher soap. It's made to cut grease off pots and pans, so grab a bottle from under the sink and squirt it in a bucket with some water. That's all I ever use. That with a 2 foot soft brush and firm toilet brush (great for hubs, thank me later) and that dish soap will make that mess it's bitch.
