Announcing was bad

Not sure what was going on last night, but that might have been the worst combined effort that I can remember.

Ralph had no clue who was in what position. Not sure what he was watching. I don't think Emig was ever able to complete a single sentence. He either didn't hit enough of the devils lettuce, or had way to much.

That was a piss poor effort, adding in John Force made it even worse.

I noticed a few mistated facts

Seemed to go down hill fast after Roczen binned it, guess they realised their work to 'sell the racing' just increased 10 fold

Yeah it was bad all night. A lot of miscues and mistakes. Jeff and Ralph were having a hell of a time. Jenny did fantastic as always. Chalk it up as just an off night for the announcers.

Yeah really bad. I think they are too busy trying to plug the sponsors of the broadcast to care about whats actually happening.

It was an off night for the crew. No big deal.

I felt bad for Jeff because I haven't seen him struggle with his stutter on camera for a long time. Ralph picked up the conversation and made light of the situation like a true friend only to make a goof himself. They sent it down to Jenny so they could reset and then Jenny messed up her last line.

Even the Social Media "expert" sounded off. Not sure what she was yammering on about but she confused her own self. Bad night for announcing all around.

That being said, it's a hard job and huge respect for anyone who does it. This seemed like some kind of systemic issue with the whole crew. Wonder if they had a blow out party last night or pre-race and they were all hung over?

John Force is a legend Has always talked like that and has been able to get support even in lean years.

Ralph and Jeff can't win, if they make a mistake and own up to it , in the eye's of some they suck, if they make a mistake and just keep going they are dumb.

Can't you just watch the race and enjoy the night ?

In the 250 main it was assumed Forkner was in the lead for half of the 1st lap until the ticker showed it was Hill.

That is wrong on many levels. I would rather see rider's initials on number plates than numbers.

In the 450 main Stewart was in 8th when Roczen went down, and we never saw or heard anything else about him?
Marvin moves into 2nd and we see nothing?

I'm not as concerned with the announcer's as their support system.

Jenny can mess a line up all night and I wouldn't care.

Weege and Langston are just so much better. Emig constantly misses opportunities to mention interesting or informative info. I feel like I get nothing out of the commentary. Maybe it's okay for the average uninformed viewer. Certainly leaves a lot to be desired by us die hard fans though.

Wait....as true fans, you guys actually listen to the announcers for what is going on? Not me, I watch the race and kind of tune that stuff out. If they were a little off....big deal.

Yep poor job. No 250 LCQ, 250 main showing bikes down on the start instead of the racing up front, don't show how MM25 got into second.

She didn't call a Honda a KTM. She said he needed a little KTM. You know like the ones that race at every event and sponsor it?

Larry Huffman was annoying. As are almost all stadium announcers who sensationalize everything.

Ralph and Jeff are fine. No Eckman and Bailey but still fine. Jenny is fantastic in every way. Even Ricky has gotten pretty darn good track side. My main gripe is the Twitter pics. Juliana is okay I guess but the whole segment is just meh.

When emig lost his train of thought I thought it was a cool moment. Very candid and nice to see them have a little fun. Didn't the supercross team win an award a couple of years ago for excellence in the program or something? They won an Emmy.

What pisses me off is the bullshit day show internet connection. Jesus that sucked.....

I loose interest real quick in what they're saying. That's with any sport.

Not hating on ralph and emig but i think its time for a new team, how long have those 2 been doing the announcing for SX? weege and langston are a pretty cool duo, know how to mix it up with insight and occasional jokes.

I like how Ralph helped out Fro when he stammered. Stuff happens. These guys do a fine job. It's the overall program layout I think needs improving. Watch the old ESPN 2 broadcasts. They were much better. Sign of the times I guess.

Hey it happens. It happens in football games also. Ever make a mistake at work? Nobody is perfect.

It was bad. It's early on in the season so I don't know all the numbers. They said Forkner got the hole shot and continued to announce him as the leader. I was pumped and cheering him on. Big let down once they figured out who was leading. It was a very poor night for the booth and the support crews. We saw Stewart early on. He got second in his heat and was hyped up. At the end of the main they didn't even say what position he was in or how he did. It was just overall bad night.

Austin did get the holeshot, but he made a mistake and plessinger, hill got by him.

I noticed several things, like not knowing which semi Dungey was in when he was right in the middle of the screen.

I've always wondered do they actually watch the races or are they watching it through monitors? I always figured they were watching through monitors to make sure they were commentating on what the viewer were seeing.
