Which PA track is going to be taking off next year, and which track in the South is going to be added?

Which west track is not coming back? Just asking. I know nothing.

DC hinted at a PA track getting the boot.

I just hope its not High Point

Not that I want to see either of them leave the schedule, but it is a better facility IMO.

I would rather see them add Broome back instead of adding one down south... that was a great national. Southeast has more SX's, northeast has more MX's... leave it be.

I recall reading somewhere awhile ago that Washougal and High Point may be on the way out, but I don't recall the source.

My guess would be the track that makes the most money stays. I'd like Steel City to stay because it's literally in my back yard, but I think High Point is a better track. Steel City is closer to Pittsburgh though, and also has more ways in and out. It's a tough call really. I wish they would keep both and toss one I don't attend lol.

If one has to go get a GP there DC to replace it!!!

You're not kidding, Export is a couple minutes away.

I remember the "save High Point" banner RC held up a few years back after winning there... it was on the chopping block back then too. If High Point leaves, I probably wont make it to any nationals.. First Kenworthy's, then High Point.

I want a southeast national for my own selfish reasons, but I have been to Steel City the last couple of years and I hope that it stays, but I don't think it will. It would be best for DC to keep High Point for the historical reasons. If they start taking all the original tracks away then it could have a negative impact like what has happened in Nascar. In my opinion just make it a 13 race season. If having one extra week matters then just get rid of the Monster Energy Cup, I have a feeling that is going to be a bust this year anyways.

Screw that...if anything they should get rid of Pala! West coast has what like 10 of the 17 rounds of supercross probably 5-6 of which are in cali, another in Phoenix and vegas.

As far as which, my guess would be Steel City, just because it seems like Coombs is more favorable towards High Point. I think its a little closer than Steel city from Morgantown and he's had quite an impact in running that event even before MX Sports and RacerX got real big... at least more so than what Ive seen at Steel City.

Mr. Info. (Mark), you work at Glen Helen as an announcer, so can please educate me on which West Coast track is not coming back? The three that hold the big races now seem pretty happy.

Or is this just another rumor you're throwing out there for fun?

Thank goodness. If I lost Washougal I'm not sure what I would do. Cry I guess.

Does Washougal get the all day pit pass offer this year?

DC I was asking. I have not heard of anything. West Coast people would like to know also if we are losing anything. Can't I ask just like the people East do. And DC I did not suggest any tracks either cause I do not know. I am just asking. No rumors here.

Then why did you frame your question as if you knew a West track is not coming back?

I live on a 1000 acre farm that has been in my family for a few generations now, right off the I-20 30 min away from both Columbia SC and Augusta GA (both have airports) and i look at the rolling hills on the farm everyday and wish that i had a couple million to put a top notch facility here. Been to Budds and Steel City and our land could make a track just as good as both of them if not better. If i had a couple million to spend and DC came here and said they would hold a National here if I spent the money I would do it in a heartbeat.

I asked just like the quote above. And I did not even ask a name. So why is my question different. I can ask or make a statement can't I ?

This is just my input, but I seem to remember it being reported before (and it might have even been said by DC) that there would be an Eastern track (and it may even have been specified a PA track) that would be out next year and a Southern track in. So the OP was just following up on a previously reported story. Whereas I don't remember DC ever saying (or it being reported) that a Western track might be out - therefore not quite the same.

My POV...

I've heard for a few months now that something on the west coast was going down, but no one ever confirmed or denied and I heard it from people around the industry. There's always rumors floating around, just a part of life, but so you all know that's what we are hearing around this area.

Mr. Info (Mark from Glen Helen) just likes stirring the pot and hinting that either Pala won't be getting its permits (which it already has) or Hangtown won't get a longterm contract (which it already has) or Washougal is somehow on the chopping block (there is no chopping block).

Unless the West Coast track he's talking about is not coming back to another series? He would have to answer that, I know nothing.

Just kidding.

Wasn't it quoted that it would be south of Charlotte, east of B'ham and north of Gainsville (or was it Jacksonville) and obviously west of theAtlantic.

Thunder Valley is not going anywhere either, Miss Sondra.

BTW, Marc kicked ass at High Point. The track was awesome, even after the rain. Can't wait to see what he does with a clean palate somewhere down the road.

I believe they haven't built a track yet. but who's to say it can't happen between now and the end of the year, but it's a beautiful place and would be a prime location also.
