2005 Honda CR250R refresh, finished pics

In december 2017 I make the decision to make a engine top-end work to my '05 CR250R for the next new year. But surprise, after take all the top-end out I found that the engine needs a complete rebuild and here is the history in pictures...

Very nice bike, I noticed you have a Core decal in the background, there brake line's are high quality.

Works well but the rubber cover in the clamp area isn't the same as stock and a day riding in a mx track that piece break and the brake line come lose. I had to do a work with straps to complete the race day.Angry

After cleaning the frame I take the decision of assembly the engine installed to prevent scratches and dings in the motor.

I used acid air conditioner cleaner first, then hand pads and then Brillo pads in the foot pegs area.

Nothing better than a new Hinson basket! My home made clutch locking tool made me the job very easy. KG factory clutch plates looks like OEM ones and with Barnett steel plates is my favorite combo.

Here is the engine top end parts ready to install.

Before installing the piston I made this holes on it to cooldown the exhaust port bridge. The piston is a Pro-X "A".

Here is the RC ex-valve system, LH cover and the big switch, the carburetor, I change it to a Keihin PWK38 short bell from a '01YZ250.

Powder coating satin black with silver letters for the covers and the rest with Wanda PU marine paint satin black.
