Had family in town and was taking them around just to fill the day. Swung by the Harley shop, then Honda, then the Kawasaki/Triumph/Yamaha dealer. There was a used 24 YZ450FX that looked pretty new, had them check and only 2.5 hours on it! For $5999 I decided I needed a new race bike... I'll keep one of my 2019's for practice and build this one up for scrambles!

I'm stoked Eli struggled. You need that to learn. I was skeptical Vancouver was too good to be true, but those little slide outs and the whoops gave them some stuff to work on, which I'm excited about. I think the track was gnarly and CC was feeling it, so you get what you got, a technician on a technical track (alliteration shout out).

Sounds like more of his addiction to the scoop tire bit him yesterday. There was a lap there in the 2nd moto where it looked like he had a flat tire. He did a 360 in a turn before a lane, then he slid again, and then again. It was silly. Come on Eli,... be flexible with tire choice and be prepared for racing without the scoop from time to time eh? Our guy Lewis hit up Ian on the post race interview about this.

Didn’t look as good as two weeks ago but what do you expect on a new bike in varying conditions? Exactly why running these off season races is a good move. They’ll be learning more than on a test track.

Elito was back tonight. After destroying everyone in Canada, he struggled badly tonight, Dry hardback conditions was probably the reason and of course the new bike. Hope we see him consistenly at the front when the game starts at A1. Also, loved the track and that they let it get it a little dusty. Not cookie cutter SX and definitely made for some great three and four wide racing in both classes

Knee-jerk response is moto-geometry is much closer bike-to-bike that MTB, linkage ratios are much closer, no frame option sizes, and the OEMs barely supply any of that info. I get your point, we have the MTB site so I see it, however, it doesn't affect moto at the level it does MTB. Definitely something I will consider and look into though.

Why isnt bike geometry evaluated? MX needs standards like bicycles because its helpful in picking what you want based on past experience. I think body type has a huge effect on how a bike will work. For example, if you are 5'2 your weight distribution and position are quite different from somebody 6,4. I know how an MTB will work for me based on reach, stack, chainstay length, bb height head angle, and rear suspension leverage curve. Example, I ride a little off the back, so i prefer a steeper HA to get more front end grip. Moto is like,"...

Everyone goes through hardship and falters. To hold someone’s character to a set point in their life is lazy thinking. Not directed at you really as this seems to be a common theme these days. We judge others to standard we don’t even keep ourselves to. I wish him well. Hope this move brings some peace to him ‘cause no doubt this season must have been tough for him to go through.

It costs a lot of money for an AI design subscription and freight from Taiwan to bring it from the sweatshops. Add in money to the sponsored riders and other marketing expenses, and there's barely enough left for the CEO's. Next year they'll have to choose between a Yacht or that 3rd house, the wife isn't going to like being told no to one of those; and she's already banging the pool guy and the general contractor doing the kitchen renovation, so the ice is thin.
