You went? Dang text me next time your headed down, I bailed on going last minute cause all the guys that were going with me had bike issues. How was it? Still YZ250, or did you Dust off the 465? EDIT: Glad OP is alright! Hate to see pics of a twisted YZ.

Haha. That's great! In respect and honor I may steal his line. Even funnier same beer choices typically. Just tonight got home to find my wife drank my last PBR, (seperate issue that will be dealt with accordingly) however she had bought the Kirkland Craft beer pack, I've been skeptical but if it pretty damn good. Not sure how craft...

Eh that beers fine. There's good beer, and better beer, and the best beers always free. But PBR, so American everytime you crack one open a bald eagles born, is just patriotic. So I start drinking that close to this time of year to remind me MURICA!!!

So I know we have a Hall of Fame for threads... And I know there are many in Moto Board lore that can and should be there. But we need a post/poster hall of fame! Peelout would no doubt be a unanimous first ballot selection. Can always count on his posts for a laugh. While its not the first time...
That's a great video! Not sure how I missed that kid and that bike. I have an 88 CR250 that I have embarrassed a couple of my friends on but seeing how I have friends that have embarrassed me on older bikes not sure it was "good" enough for this thread. Wish I documented the life of the bike better...
thats a great shot. I've seen them in person do it, and done a little myself. However I'm still impressed, shocked, and in awe everytime I see it. Certainly more capable then most give credit for and certainly moreso than I usually feel like pushing it. Smile
I know a fellow vital poster and his younger brother who do/did it quite frequently on both a 1981 YZ465, and 1974 CR250 depending on the track/jumps. The 465 could handle any of the jumps with the right pilot, and the CR with Ohlins rear shocks, reed valve, and electronic ignition hangs pretty well, and hits jumps bigger than you...

If you still need to reach Tony Graves I can let Tony Jr. know. See him at a private track in Cottage Grove quite frequently. Might see him this evening for my after work ride.

So late in the thread unlikely this will get seen, but want to say it, in response to both parties. Those that think he wont finish a moto, and those that will dominate. I get nostalgic late in riders careers and pull for them to finish their careers strong. I am a fan of the sport, from a riding standpoint...

Follow up, sorry for the delay tax season keeps me pretty busy. We bought our kids two weeks ago the fly F-16 youth gloves. Son (3 this month) fit into the 1 (xxs) where slightly big but by Summer's end will probably be too small. Daughter (small 5 year old even for a girl) fits a size 2 (xs) perfect...

I had a similar problem and was hesitant to order anything. I have a 2 almost 3 year old son, and small 5 year older daughter in this category. I was lucky enough to find a shop that had a good stock of fly, thor, fox, ansr, kids gloves. Multiple styles and sizes, the only ones with fingers short enough...

I don't disagree, and maybe this should be a separate topic. Thought about starting one, as I didn't see it brought up, but the current state of flagging in general needs a attention. This year it seems to be a little more on the forefront with the Anderson, then Dungey, and the debate on Stewart and what responsibilities lappers have...

I personally think just the opposite. If the Championship and competitiveness within the championship is the goal, we need to tighten the points. In this sport there isn't huge variances in finishing spots persay. One because theres only 20 spots, and two; these days the same guys are battling for the most part the same positions week in and week...

This has been my point throughout this thread. In my opinion the issue isn't with the entire season and its structure. It's with the night shows. There's no ramifications a for a poor performance on the gate or heat, as there is so many opportunities to make up for it throughout the night and get right before any points are...
I've been out for a while, not familiar with some of the newer brands of Goggles, or the fad brands (Von Zipper a few years a go). But all the major players have and did when I was in the industry, even peddled goggles for a while. Scott, Spy, Oakley, Smith where the "staples" and long standing brands all had...

I agree and think this is a valid point in regard to golf and NASCAR. I guess I've been coming at it from the standpoint in this sport that attracting and obtaining more viewership and attendance overall would be the desired goal. Maybe I'm wrong maybe they are just trying to cater to their core base and make it more...

Agree, the most frustrating part of this topic is it has caused me to break my first rule of joining vital. Don't engage or get passionate about hearsay, speculation, and rumor! Lol

I think the golf example isn't as good or relevant to our sport, as mainstream and most fans care about the majors. The Fed Ex cup (their playoff) seems to be followed more by the core fans, rather than the casual fan that follows the majors. And still more emphasis is put on majors. Fed Ex cup only engaged the...

I just want to point out that you and I as well many others agree changes are needed if a more competitive series is desired. Which hopefully results in better attendance, growth, and more money. For those asking why do we need growth, it's simple growth equals money which has been a problem in this sport for years. While I...

I'm on my phone and quoted you originally so not sure if I was a target of the rant. But I take no offense. I agree change is good and much needed in this sport. I'm just not convinced this is it. I don't have all the details and I'm sure you have more info than I. And you haven't...
