Let me ask everyone that is bitching...did you donate to RaisIt4USA? if not why? would you be open to a $.50 surcharge on SX/MX/SMX race tickets to defer the costs?

Well we actually had a magazine editor get behind fundraising efforts that actually raised enough money to help defer the costs...but in todays world we have a golf tournament and sell t-shirts that probably raise more than back then but probably not much more and with the the costs have increased it's not enough...

It’s been over for some time—-it was just running on fumes. Younger generations don’t care. Hell, you get shouted down by lunatics if you even cheer the U.S. flag. Every country in the world is allowed to be proud of their country, flag, and anthem. I'm sure the team looked at whatever "data" they need to make big decisions like taking a factory effort overseas in today's economic climate. While your point is valid, don't you think they weighed it out?

in today’s sports world , it gotta make sense with the dollars & if it’s not then it is wht it is 🤷🏾♂️ I don’t blame deegs & Yamaha standpoint plus if mxon is not in their contract , the athlete or team is not obligated to go if they don’t want to

Racing is a money losing endeavor. Why waste a bunch of money for a race that means nothing and gets poor exposure in the states? Its going to cost 30-50k per rider for bikes and personnel for one weekend. I back Star and Deegan on this one.

Smart financial decision. Look up how much the promoter makes from this race and then how much it costs teams to go to this race. It's a no brainer for American teams not wanting to front the costs anymore. Have the team and riders healthy and prepared for SMX where the riders can actually take home a great paycheck. Good move Yamaha.
