I dont buy into the air forks, the pressure will change in these as you go through the moto and also with a change in the ambiant temp, they tried these in the 70's and faded away, maybe I will be proven wrong. However I do like the Showa design of a one side spring and ther other damping.

I know this is not the bike or article you are looking for but another cool "bike of the future" at the time (it was 1989 I think) was Horst Leitner's KTM single-shock prototype, it was the first of the no-link KTM's. MXA got to tride that bike and did a small article on it.
"How did the guy on the Cr250 know how to "bubba scrub" back in '82 when it hadn't been invented yet??? LOL! " I noticed that also, it looked good, most of the times I have seen guys in the 80's and even early 90's try a so called whip it looks goofy as if they are ridding very stiff...

Somthing needs to be done to stop the brace from riding up and crushing the throut/windpipe during a crash, I have rigged up a strap that hooks to my waistbelt area on my ridding pants so it will at least take some of the impact and slow it down.

Great race, How bout RJ holding a can of Coors when getting interviewed I know Coors was a sponser but how many riders would actully drink a beer on the podium anymore, although it didn't really show him drinking it, I would guess he did I know I would have.

Yes it was, my buddy bought a YZ and tried to talk me into getting one the same day but I wanted to wait until the Zuk shop got the new RM's in, I was glad that I waited.
"I wonder who thought up the name "Full Floater" ? " Not sure who thought of the name but the reason was because the shock was not directly attached to the frame top or bottom, hence full floater, it was compressed from both the top and bottom as the swingarm move through its stroke.
